I went there solo on March 2022, aiming for the via ferrata for the first time, and I was so thankful for my solo experience. Luckily I got the discounted price, so I wont comment much on the price. Due to the risk it takes to complete the ferrata, for me, it was worth the experience satisfaction. The walk the torq's guides/trainers were also very helpful and friendly. They even ask for permission to help me to put on the safety wear when I cant put it on me by myself. Adrian, Henry and Aiezron, all trainers did gave us clear instructions on how to operate the carabiner and lanyard throughout the trail so that we can have safe experience. This for-beginner ferrata's experience was one of my best experience and surely I will come again for the longer trail at the Low's Peak Circuit! Thank you for the very good services. Keep it up! Initially I thought… just another scenic view… similar to the many I witnessed at the Kundasang area but I was pleasantly surprised at THE view & experience here. It is located 10-15min drive from the war memorial/main shopping area of Kundasang & the access road can be quite rocky at parts. The viewing structure can be accessed by a 15-20min easy & scenic hike up a well maintained path dotted with delightful clusters of flowers and ornamental plants I think the magic of Sosodikon is the 360 degree view where the various sectors offer a different scene. Hiking from starting point to base camp is quite okay and not too hard. From base camp to peak is very challanging with muddy track and cold weather See more..

Look to be honest - I didn't get to climb Mt. Trusmardi in the end. My wife and family are all Sabahan and as we were on our annual overseas trip back home to see the family I thought I'd book the Mt. Kinabalu climb again. This would be my 7th climb of Mt. Kinabalu since 1994 and my first since the tragic 2015 earthquake. Unfortunately as I had left my booking for Mt. Kinabalu until only 6 weeks before - all climbing slots were full. I was put onto a waiting list but wasn't too optimistic of gaining a slot. After persistence the KK tour company kindly gave me the alternative option of climbing Sabah's Mt. Trusmardi instead - which I'd heard from the family was also a brilliant climb and Malaysia's 2nd highest peak - although somewhat lower. However when I was given the quotation from the local KK tour company for the Mt.Trusmardi hike I almost passed out on the floor! A basic, no-frills overnight hike was RM3990 (AUD$1300/USD$950) for 1 person! For this exorbitant price all you get is 1x basic breakfast, 1x basic lunch, 1x basic dinner, a sleeping bag, a bunk bed in a shared unheated dorm/bunk room, guide, climbing fee, 'insurance' and transport from the local village. To me that is ridiculously overpriced - how can they justify that ludicrous price? Now reading another TA reviewer's experience below regarding this same hike (KellyM) - the 'guides' slept-in for the crucial summit sunrise ascent and had no knowledge of the area/mountain they were actually guiding on (!!!) - the hike that you are expected to pay RM3990 for! I have no problem with a basic, no-frills experience - but for AUD$1300 - that is just legal extortion. If I were to take my family of 4 that would equate to about AUD$5200 for an overnight hike! Some Sabah prices are just out of control these days. I politely declined the offer. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere... See more..

I've hiked to countless hill and mountain for years, this peak considered tough, i'll rated the toughness 8/10. The trail is steep, narrow plus slippery. It took approx 3hrs++ to reach the summit, which is 1430m. We started to hike 4am, but missed the sunrise, the time we reached the peak bout 7.30am. We still managed to see the clear and magnificent view of Mt kinabalu from this peak. Remember to bring atleast 3ltr water, i've finished mine before reaching the ending point. Bare in mind, cover all your body and bring leech spray, a few of my friends attacked by the leech!! This place must hire guide because it is under Sabah Park (max 20 hikers per day) and you will get lost easily. The guides were spectacular, they provided excellent leadership and very patient with the team members various questions. I gained lot of experiences anf benefits from this trip. Many thanks to Jonny, he was a great assistance in many ways. See more..
