Worthwhile yet feels like a zoo

I understand why the center was established and there which is good to see, however being there felt like being in a zoo unfortunately. The bears are in large fenced enclosures which you can view from platforms above. They walk around like a zoo on dirt grounds, yet I remind myself they are handled better there than their previous owners. I would visit if you’re in the area.

Well worth a visit
This is a great chance to see the bears who roam around in the conservation area, the staff are really knowledgeable and will point out other things such as bees and insects. The bears themselves are lovely, the younger ones are separated but still roam. Be patient at feeding times, they can be a little shy. Of note if you have a camera lens over 500 mm you have to pay a whopping charge! Good for a few hours to see the bears, go first thing as everyone seems to go to sanctuary across the road for 10am feeding
