Probably only for people of a certain age. The journey thru the valley to the museum shows how difficult it would have been to attack the place. They have built a new part over a previously demolished building, which only opened recently. Needs a few more exhibits, but still interesting to look at.See more..

The manor house at Gulskogen was erected in the Louis XVI style in 1804. The house contains the original furnishings that belonged to several generations of the Arbo family. The painter Peter Nikolai Arbo had his childhood here, and there are several paintings made by him in the main building. The Gulskogen Park is patterned after an 18th Century European model. On our recent holiday to Eidsvoll we cycled to the Emerald mine on a sunny Saturday and spend a good few hours there. We enjoyed the walk around the mines and then sat at the waters edge for hours looking for Emeralds with a picnic. We managed to find quite a few! An experience that wont be forgotten. The lady who greeted us was also very helpful and gave told us lots of interesting information about the different stones and how to find them.See more..
