A very interesting and easy to understand museum for all ages
For 2nd time this year I visited Norsk Skogsmuseum and I enjoyed every minute. The museum is perfectly sized and the various sections are well displayed and with good introductions. It tells the visitors about the history of the forest and about the work in the forest. On 2nd floor I found the most interesting part when I was introduced to the research into trees and plants. I can only recommend visitors to Elverum to spend time at Norsk Skogsmuseum

    Great Stop Off
Chose to stop here on the way to Oslo from Trysil and we were pleasantly surprised just how good this museum is. Loads to see and all in English as well as Norwegian. Plenty to do outside also, particularly the walk between the sister museum over the river via an island.
