  1. 4.0 New Castle Farmer's Market (118 reviews)
    - UNIQUE and YUMMY jumble of farmers market and flea market
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Flea & Street Markets

We love this place, it's a perfect stop between NYC and DC but it is not your typical farmers market. So this is a mix of traditional farmers market vendors like meat and baked goods and a crazy mix of international shops and discount stalls. We LOVE the Stotzfus area which has meat and baked goods and juices. They have every pie and lemonade you can dream of. We also like the other butcher near the front and got an EXCELLENT thanksgiving bird for a great price. The ice cream shop was closed this week, but it has tropical/latin unique flavors, popsicles, and my favorite ice cream sandwich. Finally the mexican restaurant and elote stand is also a fave. I like the especial tacos. I have bought veggies here, but the veggie and fruit market seems to be mostly a discount place, you wont find fancy heirloom tomatoes. Some reviews call the market dirty or shabby, we kind of love it for what it is, even if the first time we visited it was a surprise. See more..
  2. 4.0 Spence's Bazaar (102 reviews)
    - Friday stop.
    Sunday: Flea & Street Markets

The food court is busy and lots to look at. Be aware the majority of the pre-packaged items are NOT Amish. Read the labels. Sticky bun purchase with pecans was ok at best. Not enough nuts and the coating lacked taste. Apple bread made by Lena's bake shop is very heavy but lacked apples. The "flea market" area is dark, dank, and creepy. Allot of the stuff has been there for years. I'd skip that part. See more..
  3. 4.5 Dutch Country Farmers Market (92 reviews)
    - Fisher's Meat Market & PIG Roasts
    Sunday: Flea & Street Markets
    Dutch Country Farmers Market image
I have been using Fisher's Meat Market inside the Farmers Market for years. I have always appreciated the quality of their meats and hospitality of their staff. When the COVID19 pandemic hit, Fisher's Meat Market became a true blessing. I called ahead and placed my meat order with Fisher's and paid ahead. I simply pulled up to the curb, phoned the market and my meats were delivered to my trunk. I utilized this service throughout the entire pandemic until they discontinued it recently. Fisher's meat not only provided a very helpful and safe way for me to get my meats during the pandemic, but quality meats superior to the grocery store. I do not shop anywhere else for my ground beef. Theirs is top notch. Prices have gone up over the past year, but I still continue to buy. I would highly recommend Fisher's Meats inside the Dutch Country Farmer's Market. Note: PIG ROASTS are held on select weekends throughout the Spring, Summer and early Fall. It is worth it IF you are in the area. See more..

    - Glad I went
Sunday: Spent 1-2 hours Flea & Street Markets • Farmers Markets

This farmers market is only open on Tuesday, and I am sure glad that I was able to go. It was a spur of the moment thing, and I was pleasantly surprised. We went around 1 and there was a great crowd. I have been to several farmers markets and with the exception of one in Charleston it was the best. They had an assortment of fruit vendors as one does. There was also live music, a pasta stand, honey stand, flower stand, rice pudding stand, baked goods, and many others. I asked to taste the cappuccino rice pudding, and he gave me practically a spoonful. I bought that, and a delicious looking blueberry muffin for the morning. Also, if you need to use the restroom, the Visitor Center is right there for use. I plan on going again next Tuesday. See more..
  5. 4.0 Riverfront Market (24 reviews)
    - Fresh produce market and very good take-out restaurants
    Flea & Street Markets
    Riverfront Market image
This is a low-key local favorite for a variety of take-out foods (or, you can sit inside at tables). I particularly like the Water Street Deli for its fresh, delicious sandwiches, but you can also find sushi, Thai food, Mexican (among other choices) and you have the option of picking up fresh produce, salads, and fruit at the produce market in the middle of the hall. Parking lot available, but employees at the Riverfront business district, walk. See more..
  6. 4.5 Dawn's Country Market (20 reviews)
    - Great goats!

I had a great time at the country market. For just a quarter you can get a handful of corn and feed all the goats! There is a wonderful assortment of friendly goats who eat from your hand. As a bonus, there are various chickens, turkeys and ducks that you can observe, and even an area for rabbits. A great spot to stop by for a few minutes. See more..
