Not to be missed. The falls are impressive even if you are only able to view them from the lower point. If you can, take the trail up the side of the falls to the top, or at least to the top of the third fall. The trail is very accessible and suitable for all ages. Plenty of viewing platforms. The restaurant gets very busy, be patient it is worth it if only for the view. Make sure that you allow enough time here, it does take a while to walk up. We are relatively fit and it took us just over the hour. Also, parking, plenty of places, but it is cash only so be prepared. Well worth the entrance feeSee more..
4.5Liechtensteinklamm(548 reviews) - Well worth visiting but also quite stuffed Temporarily closed - Closed until May 10, 2023 Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Canyons • Waterfalls
Liechtenstein Gorge is certainly one of the longest, deepest, and most impressive gorges in the Alps. The mighty thunder of the waterfall, the moss-grown rocks in rich green, a legendary atmosphere, and sun rays that create a rainbow in the fine water mist. The unique natural spectacle in the Salzburger Land is known for an unforgettable trip of a special kind - an experience for the whole family. Over thousands of years, the thundering water falls and the rushing masses of water have cut more and more deeply into the mountain and have created a gorge. The rocks stand so narrow and high in places that only a small strip of the sky remains visible.See more..
Good access by local bus service. Food and drink available close by waterfall. For the more energetic there is a well marked easy walk as an alternative to taking the bus all the way to the fallsSee more..
We visited the waterfall early in the morning, before we departed from our hotel nearby, so we did not even have to buy the tickets, there was no one at the gate. The waterfall was strong and abundant thanks to the rain those days. We briefly enjoyed the scenery and left. It was worthwhile.See more..
4.5Stuibenfall(304 reviews) - One of the best Spent More than 3 hours Waterfalls
We parked at the bischofsplatz. It is a parking with quite some spots but be early because the parking gets overcrowded later on the day. Parking is 5 euro for the whole day. The walk/ hike to the first platform of the fall was around 30 minutes. The road is well maintained and gets quite steep. After a while you should cross a suspension bridge with stairs. After that there are a lot of stairs to reach the top. Along the way there are several viewing platforms. On one you can experience the power of the fall and the spray it causes, really fun. After reaching the top you have to walk 5 minutes through the forest to reach the highest platform from where you see the whole fall. We walked the same way back down. Way to the top was around 1 hours and 15 minutes. It was spectacular, the fall is powerful and large and the road, stairs and bridges along the fall are fun to walk.See more..
