Perfect place to visit on a hot day, but beware no one is safe from getting sprayed with water. Kids loved it and were soaking wet by the end. Be aware that you buy a ticket which has a set time to start the tour of the trick fountains. Our ticket was for around 30 minutes after we arrived on a busy day so I suspect this isn't an issue but book online for a specific time if you don't want to wait. I dislike the fact that they try to take a photo to sell to you. These are all printed whether you buy it or not. Not very environmentally friendly. There is a also a big park with a small children's paddling pool so bring swimming costumes for kids on a hot day. Playground too was good but in direct sunshine. Really fun experience! Great views as well on the cable car up and at the base. Be warned that even with a ticket you have to queue for a number before you can take the coaster. It’s not just a line to wait in and go. There is a small ticket counter by the start of the ride to collect this number. You also are not allowed to take any bags on the coaster so you need to send them down on the chairlift. There was a collection point at the bottom. There are busses from Imst to reach but they run very infrequently. On a Saturday there was one at 11 and next was 2pm. Plan accordingly or you can get a taxi. See more..
The road up to Großglockner is a beautiful and the views are amazing. We did a hike from the RV parking down the hill towards the dams, around the lake, up and down a hill and towards the glacier. The last km was straight up the hill. The trails were very good and the views great. The hike was only 9 km’s / 3,5 hours, but due to the elevation a basic shape is recommended. We did the hike with our dog and he had the time of his life. We highly recommend a hike in this section of the National park. The entree fee was € 37.See more..
