Visited here as we love hiking. The bus took us straight from central Lecco to the cable car, a quick journey up to the most amazing views of Lecco and Lake Como. The signposts for hikes weren’t the best but we did find our way to a small hike which took us a couple of hours to complete. The restaurant at the top was full so we waited and took the cable car to the restaurant at the bottom and had a very welcomed beer with a great sandwich. Simple and tasty! E' una pista ciclabile che parte da Pescate (LC) e arriva fino a Trezzo sull'Adda (MI) . La strada si estende su un terreno pianeggiante per circa 30 Km (nel tratto da me descritto) ed e' misto sterrato,quindi consigliata per mountan bike..la strada costeggia quasi sempre il fiume Adda e il panorama varia..si passa da diversi paesi,a volte si costeggia la strada ma la maggior parte del tempo si e' in mezzo alla natura e sullo sfondo si possono ammirare i paesaggi pre alpini che circondano Lecco.Adatto a tutti,basta sapere il propio limite,poi si gira la bici e si torna indietro.Ps. so che continua anche dopo Tezzo D'Adda e che dovrebbe arrivare fino a Milano,ma sinceramente non sono andato oltre. I was told there is a nice church uphill, it's worth climbing your away up. It is not a nice little church, it's an incredible VIII century longobard abbey, in very good shape, with breath-taking frescoes and a tiny beautiful crypto. The legend says it was built by king Desiderio to thank God for healing his son Adelchi who had become suddenly blind. Don't forget trekking shoes and drinks, it's quite a long way. On our visit the terrace and the church where both closed unfortunately as they are open on Sunday afternoons by some locals. The views are stunning and worth the effort to climb up the steps. 1) In this park better to have hiking shoes. 2) Can choose one of 7 roads, or just mixed it, because in some part roads are crossing. On the roads info columns with directions ant time to go to. 3) We was at first week in February, it was very cold and wet day, but in Park we enjoy time 4) Find very nice picnic place (it more like one). VERY good for group or family. 5) Was cloudy, not very open view for Lecco city, another cities and Como lake. We went up to highest point "Vetta M.Barro". Arrived to Funivia from Lecco with bus no 5. There took the cable car from Funivia to Piani d’Erna to ease my way up (one way ticket 6€). Maps are available in cable car station. Choose path no 5, until you reach a fork where you have to take path no 1. Amazing views on lace Como and Lecco. Be aware that last part of the path is quite demanding and might take more time fore those who are not fit. Down the same way ( I went back all the way down to Funivia), following path no 1 or to the other side path 17 and later 7. Possible to take no 8 as well, didn’t test that. Ask your fellow hikers or youngsters working in Azzoni restaurant. They all are very helpful! See more..

Bellissimo percorso, da Barzio a Tartavalle senza respiro, ma adatto a tutti.
Un solo consiglio: perché a Cortenova non mettere due cartelli indicatori, dico due, per evitare di andare sulla SP 62 che è trafficata è pericolosa? Basta entrare in paese, fare 300 Mkt, girare a destra su un tratto di strada poco trafficato , seguendo l'indicazione per Taceno, e ci si ricongiunge con l'ultimo pezzo della ciclabile!

Great walk, great views! Strongly recommend to go. We were almost alone on the route, which made out trek more amazing :). We did the walk in less that 5 hours with 2 short breaks. The path itself is not really signed in one area and we lost the track (in the forest just before mountain itself) so we ended up in just climbing up through the bushes and grass, which was super steep. Very nice convent with church of 15th century, to be noticed as soon as you arrive are the beautiful bas-relief station of the Via Crucis carved in red stone. After the 75 years , between 1807 to 1882 , during Napoleons and French invasions , the convent was closed, now it’s still a convent of friars. Outside the church is very simple with a nice Pronaos. Inside is beautiful the right wall full of frescoes dated back to 1550 , in front there are four chapels also well frescoed . Small church beside the monastery of friars of Order of servants of Mary built at the beginning of 12th century and rebuilt several times until what we can see today finished in 16th century. Suggest good walking shoes to get the most out of your visit as the terrain is not always easy to walk with many stony paths etc. Walk towards the telecoms towers, go past them and on to Monte Linzone to the large metal crucifix. Views are stunning in every direction. Or, walk in the other direction to 'Il Pizzo' for spectacular views across the beginning part of Lake Lecco. Also, if you have time, drive on to Forcella Alta - just a few minutes drive away - this also offers spectacular views. See more..

Questa volta ci siamo fermati nel parcheggio del parco Le Torrette a Pescate e da qui abbiamo fatto una bella passeggiata in riva al lago. Lungo il tragitto ci sono delle panchine, in cui sedersi e godere una bella vista sul lago e le montagne circostanti. Sul lago abbiamo anche visto la tipica imbarcazione lariana , chiamata la Lucia, nota anche per le vicende narrate nel romanzo " I Promessi Sposi" di A.Manzoni See more..

A small lake where you can take walks, because the lakefront is very long and well equipped. Ideal for families with small children, but also for families with older children. Possibility to have picnics, but (obviously) the barbecue is forbidden. It could also be considered a romantic trip for a couple but certainly not on a Sunday. Sono tre anni ormai che, appena ne abbiamo l'occasione, veniamo al Pian delle Betulle. È raggiungibile comodamente con la funivia da Margno ma a noi piace passeggiare, quindi parcheggiamo all'Alpe Paglio e con i bimbi e lo zaino in spalla facciamo una piacevole passeggiata di 15 minuti per arrivare in questo bellissimo posto. Il percorso passa in mezzo al bosco ma la strada è larga è ben curata. Una volta giunti sul posto è possibile arrampicarsi al Jungle Raider Park, andare sul "salta-salta" o godersi il paesaggio sdraiati su una coperta. Se si è fortunati, vicino ad un recinto si possono vedere i cerbiatti mentre spesso, in estate, si vedono le mucche al pascolo. È presente anche una chiesetta, e un piccolo laghetto con girini e libellule. Ci sono anche due rifugi per rifocillarsi! Merita una passeggiata fin qui! See more..

It's a nice place but not something to have on top of your list if you do not know who Alessandro Manzoni was. The place and the entrance can be hard to find especially since there are no signs.
