Agreeing about the service and the reservation were handled very well. The kayak guide Stefano is highly professional and knowledgeable, and gave good advice at my level (intermediate). Paddling some sections of the Noce River was a very nice experience, well worth the price. Staying the night in a room on the premises was a bit pricey but practical. See more..

  3. 5.0 Val Gardena (2.419 reviews)
    - favorite accommodations- Best hosts and location
    Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Val Gardena image
This is the perfect location for skiing, hiking, biking or just visiting! The location is 4 mins from the base of Val Gardena slopes and the town. It over looks the town so the glistening lights at night and mountain vistas during the day make for a wonderful atmosphere. The breakfast was great. Waking up to smells of breakfast breads cooking or pancakes was wonderful. Nana, the resident Jack Russell dog will win anyone’s heart over. You can tell the owners put a lot of person work into these accommodations. The wood work throughout provides a warm cozy feeling and the rooms and adjoining bathrooms are top notch with great water pressure and steaming hot showers. Hope to make it back some day! Thank you Monica and Josef! See more..

We loved the canyon tour! Really beautiful. Lead by a great company, from the moment I phone called them to investigate the possibility, they made our booking process super easy over WhatsApp with all the relevant info provided. The tour guides were great, made it really fun, and the group was good too, all similar aged adults. Deffo will be coming back for another canyon with them next time! See more..
  5. 5.0 Passo Sella (777 reviews)
    - Passo Sella
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Passo Sella image
Passo Sella as the name suggests, is a mountain road passing through Dolomites if you're driving from Canazei. This has become very popular stop now because there are some more hotels and restaurants that must've been built due to people constantly stopping and camping along the road. Also there is a cable car too which is either new or I just didn't see last time I was here. Parking is kind of a problem in summer months because it is a narrow two lane mountain road so most people just park in a gravel layby or whatever ditch they can find to fit their car in. Hiking options are plenty. No matter which direction you go or trail you take, you'll find the beautiful views. But to access and see the three peaks Alpe di Siusi from other side, you have to keep driving and take a cable car from any town further from the Sella. See more..

The MUSE is located south of the historic Palazzo delle Albere in the new city district Le Albere, which was planned by the architect Renzo Piano. It stretches over 6 floors with a length of 130 m each, the entire area is about 12,600 m². In the museum science and technology show the interaction of humans and the environment. The MUSE especially invites young, children and families to a wonderful journey into science and nature. The metaphor of the mountain is used in the exhibition to relate life on earth, the first Alpine dwellers, the history of the Dolomites and nature of the Alps. The MUSE also organises numerous events and temporary exhibitions. A special experience is “Maxi Ooh!”, a room for children from 0 to 6 years. A place of sensory experiences with touching, smelling, looking, seeing, and hearing. Fun is guaranteed! Please note: dogs of all sizes are not permitted in the museum. See more..
  9. 4.5 Lago di Braies (5.281 reviews)
    - To be visited even with small childs
Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water
    Lago di Braies image
I've been there with family and small childs. I suggest families to book the parking (around 30€) to reach the closest parking to the lake. There are 4 different parking (100m, 1Km, 3Km) something like that. Be sure to book in advance the parking 100m from the lake. Once there (already paid 3 days before) you just show your ticket and enter the parking. Then I got my special trolley (for 2 childs with big wheels) and the adventure started. Nice lake, nice water, astonishing view inside the mountains. Very nice place for families. We rent a row wood boat and spend 1h into the lake (30€). Usually there is a long queue but it was quite fast. Then with the trolley we walking on a side of the lake (be sure with trolleys you go on right side facing the lake otherwise left side is with stairs and not easy for trolleys). You go through a church and the reach (with a viewing path) the other side of the lake where you can make picnic and play with kids See more..
  10. 4.5 Lago di Molveno (3.055 reviews)
    - Beautiful, serene, complete.
    Bodies of Water
    Lago di Molveno image
Whether you travel there alone, in couples, with your families, or in groups of friends, Molveno is perfect. On top of the breathtaking view of the lake and the Dolimiti-Paganella mountains around it, there are MANY activities you can do there. They're well-organized, too. Restaurants there pay attention on food and service quality. I went there solo. And even though the weather wasn't being supportive when I was there, I enjoyed being there nevertheless. See more..
  11. 4.5 Piazza Duomo (3.055 reviews)
    - Elegant and majestic square
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Historic Walking Areas • Religious Sites
    Piazza Duomo image
The city center is elegant, welcoming and can be easily visited on foot. The central piazza del Duomo and the Duomo itself are the hub of the city; the Christmas atmosphere and the light show with which it is illuminated during this period give it a visibility that I believe is unique. In particular at dusk and in the evening, the spectacle of the lights and colors of the square and its buildings offer a very special view. Trento and its square with the historic center are worth a visit. See more..

  13. 4.5 Castello del Buonconsiglio Monumenti e Collezioni Provinciali (2.520 reviews)
    - Interesting
Monday: Spent 1-2 hours Castles • Art Museums • History Museums
Castello del Buonconsiglio Monumenti e Collezioni Provinciali image
The Buonconsiglio Castle is the largest and most important monumental complex of the Trentino Alto Adige region. It was the residence of the prince-bishops of Trento from the 13th century to the end of the 18th century, and is composed of a series of buildings of different eras, enclosed by walls and positioned slightly higher than the city. Castelvecchio is the oldest nucleus, dominated by an imposing cylindrical tower; the Magno Palazzo is the 16th century expansion in the Italian Renaissance-style as commissioned by the Prince-Bishop and Cardinal Bernardo Cles (1485-1539); the Baroque-style Giunta Albertiana dates from the end of the 17th century. At the extreme south of the complex is the Torre Aquila, within which is conserved the famous Cycle of the Months, one of the most fascinating secular pictorial cycles of the late Middle Ages. The cable car Ritten opened on May 23, 2009, offering a whole bunch of fantastic advantages for vacationers and local commuters alike: a generous schedule, short travel time and easy access. It's a true gem. It only takes 12 minutes for the gondolas to move from Bozen/Bolzano to Oberbozen/Soprabolzano - they depart every 4 minutes, so there's practically no waiting time. See more..

    - We did this from San Candido to Lienz.
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 2-3 hours Biking Trails
    Drau Cycle Route image
We're hikers, not bikers, but this trip was a blast. It's virtually all downhill, and it's all on a well maintained bike trip, not roads with cars. The scenery is great and the town of Lienz is yet another beautiful, quaint, Alpine mountain town. After arriving, we dropped off our bikes, walked around and had lunch. The train back was a snap. Since we'd never been to Austria, this was also a great way to get a small taste of a new country. See more..

There is an easy 15 minute walk around the lake. Parking can be difficult to find, very cheap €1 per hour. There are shops and a couple of restaurants here also. See more..

We went to this picturesque city by train from Innsbruck and was most impressed by the amazing scenery. It was a very hot day with deep blue sky and we had a drink in a cafe on the square. We also caught a tram and did a round trip which was a great way to see it and at little cost. Certainly a day and a place to remember and to return to if we are in this area or nearby. See more..

    - work of art
    Hiking Trails
    Tappeiner Promenade image
The Tappeiner Way, and the Gilf Promenade that leads up to it, are evidence that a landscape designed by humans can be as inspirational as anything occurring in nature. As you walk them, your mood is very likely to change for the better. That's true of Merano generally, but it's specifically true of the designed walks above the town. As you gaze down from the Tappeiner Way to the quiet town below, you get a sense of a lived history: you're in the presence of something very special. See more..
  24. 4.5 Lago di Tovel (1.499 reviews)
    - Beautiful colours
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Lago di Tovel image
Do not bother to buy parking and/or bus tickets upfront. To drive the road to the lake you have to pay. There are several parkings along the road and when we came there around 10.30 in the morning there was still the option to buy tickets at the toll booth for the nearest parking at the lake. Was not cheap but with possible thunder later on the day we didn’t want to walk to far from the car. The road is nice to drive. There are around 5 to 6 parkings so you can imagine that this is a touristic attraction. At the nearest parking are clean modern toilets and on a 2 minute walk to the lake is a rifugio with good food. We made a walk around the lake. Is not more than 45 minutes. At the other side we had a pause to enjoy the surroundings and the beautiful green colours of the lake. I made a swim, temperature was fine but the bottom is a little bit soggy. Also saw a water snake. See more..

    Lago di Dobbiaco image
This is a beautiful alpine lake with incredible mountain views. It is perfect for those days when you want a pretty location but cannot/do not want to hike. There is parking beside the lake (pricey but handy, we paid 7 euro for they day, I believe the hourly rate is 2 euro) and you can simply go to the lake side or restaurant or take the path that circles the lake. I recommend you do take the path! It is easy, stroller friendly and it has nice info panels to learn about the lake and its animals. Perfect destination for a day out with kids See more..

Definitely worth visiting. We didn’t take the tour because it wasn’t available in English and one hour in the languages we won’t understand are too long, especially for 8 years old kid. However there is a lot to see even without the tour, get a feeling of the Middle Ages castle life and enjoy beautiful views. See more..
