4.5El Tubo(3.233 reviews) - Fun corner of town Points of Interest & Landmarks
Stop by during dinnertime, it's right in the heart of old town and has so much energy! It kinda blew my mind after walking around a very sleepy city the rest of the evening. We found good cheap bites and had a fun time drinking here and taking in the vibes. Worth a walk by even if you want something a little more elevated for dinner.See more..

4.0Plaza del Torico(1.367 reviews) - Very nice plaza! Points of Interest & Landmarks

I love bringing people to see this place! Set in a cliff, you have to come up a narrow winding road, round bend after bend, and suddenly you see the Romanesque cloister and you feel as if the cliff will fall at any moment. The first sight is quite something! San Juan de la Peña is a collection of buildings; the spectacular old monastery, some of which dates back to the 8th century, inhabited until the 16th century when it was devastated by fire. The monks then moved to the room of the hill and built the new monastery, of which just a few walls remain, but they are displayed in such a way that you walk over transparent floors and see the white, ghostly figures of the monks in their ruined cells. An amazing visit, to be thoroughly recommended!See more..
4.5Plaza Mayor(937 reviews) - Welcoming and Relaxing Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Plaza was welcoming on the Friday evening in mid -May when we arrived. It was quiet with a few tables here and there where happy travellers sat in friendly chatter. A stroll across the stone walls and onto the plaza was relaxing. We enjoyed our meal at one of the restaurants.See more..
4.5Estacion Internacional de Canfranc(927 reviews) - Great building! Very interesting history! Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
Estación Internacional de Canfranc is the tren station located in the little town called Canfranc near the border between Spain and France, in the Pyrenees. It was built in the beginning of the 20th Century, but it was inaugurated in 1928 and due to the Spanish War and 2nd World War it could not be used until some years after. Really it has a brief, but very interesting history. Also, years after, this place was not used as a very important border point, so the train station was abandoned and bad preserved. Nowadays, it is an impressive building, where you can learn about the history of the region in a guided visit, but only you can see one of the rooms with original furniture, because it was being restored and in a near future converted in a 5* hotel. In fact, nowadays, you can go to Zaragoza from here in a long travel in one of the five or six trains, which arrive there everyday. A hidden gem (an for me an unknown place) in the region. A top building and history!See more..
4.5Murallas de Albarracin(735 reviews) - Gorgeous must see Points of Interest & Landmarks
This village is like nothing else we have ever seen. We explored it for a little over an hour right at sunset, and the city was a glow. It is not an easy place to get to but the ride there and back is extremely interesting with hiking trails in Roman ruins.See more..
4.5Torre Mudejar de El Salvador(700 reviews) - My favorite tower in Teruel! Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Observation Decks & Towers
Over seven centuries after being built in the early XIVth century, the Tower of El Salvador still leaves us speechless. As it was the last tower in Teruel to be erected, it is among the esteemed landmarks that have been inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1986. The Tower actually consists of two towers, one inside the other. The Almohade model was indeed kept in mind; the architects and builders were Mudéjars, who were Muslims employed by the Christians at the time From outside, we can enjoy the brick and ceramic calligraphies as well as the street at its feet, as if intending not to disturb. Inside, 122 steps lead us to three rooms whose mortar plastered walls keep charming graffiti from the time of its erection; and we keep spinning upstairs like dancing Dervishes up to the bellfry. Once there, we lean out, take our time to feel the air, listen to the whisper and watch the sunshine on the glazed ceramics, the urban tapestry of Teruel, ''The City of Towers.''See more..
4.0Calle Alfonso I(694 reviews) - The big Christmas parade - in beginning of January Points of Interest & Landmarks
Calle Alfonso I is (also) center of Zaragoza’s big Christmas parade that takes place every year in beginning of January. People - especially kids and their parents - wait here for hours just to witness a commercial caravan of sponsored vehicles from which small give-aways are thrown. You have to see it to believe it…See more..
4.5Escalinata del Ovalo(660 reviews) - Stairway to heaven...! Points of Interest & Landmarks
You may travel the world but I can guarantee that you will not see a more majestic, grand and spectacular stairway than this one in Teruel. Simply called 'La Escalinata' or the staircase, it is a marvelous example of mudejar inspired architecture. Built in 1921 by Ancieto Marinas, it elevates the modest stairway in architecture to a level of inspired art. It is simply awesome. Its detailing, the placement of tiles and brickwork is stunning. As is it's relief sculpture of Teruel's storied lovers. To me it qualifies to be a permanent art installation. It may be 'just' a staircase but Do Not Miss it!See more..

4.5Ultramarinos La Confianza(353 reviews) - Since 1871... Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 9:15 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
A permanent feature in what used to be the Central Market square of Huesca, La Confianza delicatessen is a visit I always make when in town. Sometimes looking at their shop windows is enough to fill you with wonder. Once inside you are immersed in a world known to our great grandparents and the following generations. Look up to the amazing ceiling and let your eyes wonder over the shelves and counter. You can get the best local wines, olives, pulses, dried and salted cod, traditional sweets and a great variety of local products. More recently they have opened up the beautiful basements as a restaurant that you can book for family or group celebrations. Check it out when you visit Huesca!See more..
4.5Patio de la Infanta(314 reviews) - So well worth a visit Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Patio de la Infanta has such a rich history, originally owned by a wealthy nobleman who had the patio constructed for his wife to honour their marriage in the mid 16th century. Over time the owners of the residence changed hands and then unfortunately in 1894 a fire destroyed the building and it was left in ruins. The house was demolished and in 1904 the patio was sold to an antique dealer in Paris who had it reconstructed in his Parisian home. In 1958 it was bought back by the savings Bank of Zaragoza and since 1980 it has been housed inside the central headquarters of Ibercaja. Opening times are limited: Mon-Fri 0900-11330 and 1800-2100 Sat, Sun and Public Holidays 1100-1400 and Sat 1800-2100. It is free to enter and absolutely worthwhile locating, it is stunning to view. Allow fifteen to twenty minutes. Located on Calle San Ignacio de Loyola, a short walk away from Puerta del Carmen.See more..
4.0Mausoleo de los Amantes de Teruel(302 reviews) - An opportunity to look back in time and follow True Love Points of Interest & Landmarks
We have visited the site with a view to devoting the time and attention. My advice is to purchase the FULL tour of €9 per person and take the Audio unit. The local guides were great and they truly gave us a great insight into the city history as well as the massive refurbishment that took place on site. The full tour is inclusive of the Tower which will give you an opportunity to look at Teruel from above. Highly recommended.See more..

4.5Torre de San Martin(184 reviews) - A Wonderful Mudejar Monument Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Tower of San Martin was constructed in 1315 and its base is different, because you can go to another street through the vaulted doorway at its base. The tower is reinforced with an ashlar buttress. As with other Mudejar constructions, the decorations on the brick are ceramic tiles with white and green colors. There are ceramic eight pointed white stars with green borders. The tower consists of two concentric towers separated by one meter and there are steps leading to its bell tower. This tower is one of the beautiful Mudejar monuments of Teruel.See more..
