Wonderful ancient town
We stayed in the local Parador when we visited this town, which unfortunately was only for one night. This little town oozes history and was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Spain, Italy and France. It is in a very rural, isolated position which helped to make it special. We walked and explored the stone paved winding streets in the evening before dinner and were very impressed with this beautiful, clean ancient town, which is South East of Pamplona.

Very interesting - with the Tourist Office Guide
We took a tour with the tourist office, I think it was really worthwhile. They tell you the story of some buildings and some curiosities and you can enter a couple of places that I guess it is hard to enter otherwise (the Cripta and Iglesia San Esteban). It is a shame, as it normally happens in Spain, that it is not very well know that this tours are available - the town is really a MUST, I was told it is one of the top 10 most beautiful towns in Spain, and it didn't let us down!
