   Islas Cíes are located in the Western part of Galicia Region, near Vigo, the main city of this region, in the North of Spain. We came here to spend all day and try to do all excursions, we could in the island and really it was lovely! Wonderful views, amazing beaches, very nice hikes, etc. We could see three lighthouses (Cíes, Porta and Peiró), also we could see two beaches (Nosa Señora and Rodas, this last one wonderful), some bird viewpoints or little mountains, from where we could see very nice views. Really, an amazing full day: walks, views, beaches, lighthouses and a pic-nic with local wine! Top in the region!    Cabo Ortegal is a natural cape located in the Galician Coast, in a region with some cliffs, in the North of Spain. Here there is a very nice lighthouse and very beautiful views of the sea. We came here a windy morning, and really it was difficult to walk to the lighthouse, but it was worth it! One of the very good lighthouses in this steep coast to do a little walk on land.    Viña Costeira is a large winery just outside Ribadavia in Galicia. We had booked a tour and tasting for just €10 per head and were very impressed with everything! The tour started with a short drive up the road to visit the vineyard and enjoy the spectacular view over the Valley. This was followed by a comprehensive tour of the winery itself with interesting information about the grapes and white wine making process of this region. It was finished off with a delicious tasting of 3 quality white wines plus a choice of liquor. The prices to buy the wine were very reasonable indeed! Highly recommended! See more..

    After spending 1 week driving around Portugal with my family we decided to explore the north of Spain. We could not have been happier to end up in Mondonedo and discover this amazing architecture !! My wife is an architect and she in love with medieval buildings so we thought about having a closer look at this monument. First thing impressive is the size of the property, overlooking at the whole valley and little village. Lucky enough we met the owner of the building and he offered us a full visit of the place!! What a surprise to find someone speaking english and welcoming us with so much passion and knowledge about the history! This is definitely a top experience to do if you are around !!
