Last kilometer of the Camino - just to feel the vibe
Years ago we walked the Danish part of the Camino (called Härvejen - approx. 300 km) twice. A great trek through the most beautiful parts of Jutland. This year we came to Santiago de Compostela by car - and just walked the last kilometer of the Camino before the cathedral. We wanted to see the famous shells in the pavement and feel a little of the vibe walking into the legendary old city. Well, the shells and the vibe fully met our expectations … we find the cathedral with all the gold and silver vulgar; in our opinion the church of St. Jacob should be much more humble. But no doubt that we’ll walk more of the Camino here in Spain another time.

Walks in Spain - honourable
We had booked a very bespoke Camino walk because I cannot walk long distances and Paul from Walks in Spain took a great deal of trouble to find places to stay within the distances which I found manageable. This was booked for May 2020 and of course we were unable to go. We decided to postpone it instead of cancelling and getting a refund. Since the virus has now taken a turn for the worse I contacted Paul today and asked him if he would issue a refund. Within minutes I had a reply and within a few hours of my responding I was issued with a refund. Quite incredible when most travel companies are prevaricating and giving excuses instead of refunds. Very honourable. I will book again with Paul as soon as we think it is safe to travel. An honest and trustworthy travel agent.
