  1. 4.5 Seongsan Ilchulbong (2.029 reviews)
    - Celebrating New Year 2020
    Mountains • Geologic Formations
    Seongsan Ilchulbong image
The queue was long starting from midnight. The tag was given starting 2:30am. The limit was for 1300 first come first served. The waiting was in 2 celcius temperature. The trek up started at 5:30am in an orderly manner in a hushed procession like atmosphere. At the top of the plateau there were decks facing the direction of the sunrise. All was ready for the first sunrise of 2020. Unfortunately it did not happen. The clouds was too thick and we headed back an hour after the sunrise time. Was I disappointed? Not really. The whole experience was exhilarating, the wait, the trek, the anticipation of the sunrise. It was a memorable experience which I hope to repeat one day. See more..
  2. 4.5 Hallasan National Park (1.086 reviews)
    - Majetic view of Jeju City
Mountains • National Parks • Forests
    Hallasan National Park image
We love the hike but descending the trail (We used Gwaneumsa Trail up and down) was taught with endless rocks. There are many steps to negotiate. Only the fittest will survive in this relatively lower gradient mountain. Overall, we had a great time. Just don't forget to pack your lunch and picnic at the top together with hordes of colourful ahjummas and ahjussis See more..
  3. 4.5 Udo (1.073 reviews)
    - Day trip from Jeju
    Islands
    Udo image
A definite highlight for us. Do ensure that you keep a day planned for Udo Island on your itinerary as this is totally worth your time. Udo literally translates into a sleeping Cow as that's what the shape of this island looks like apparently. Rent a bike upon alighting from the ferry (electric bike at about 15k KRW pp) for the whole day. Its so much fun and effort to ride an electric bike is significantly low too. An important suggestion is to do the loop anti-clockwise as you'll be riding along the sea all along and also beat the traffic. The beaches are good to alight and chill at. Hiking up to the highest peak can give you a great view of the entire island. There are quite a few cafes dotted along the island and we enjoyed the views and ice creams (peanut and Hallabong flavours) at Jimmy's. Even the jet boat ride below Jimmy's is so much fun. The caves around the island are such a refreshing change and must visit if you can climb over the rocks. See more..
  4. 4.5 Jeongbang Waterfall (774 reviews)
    - Waterfalls every bit a great as you hear they are.
    Waterfalls
    Jeongbang Waterfall image
Magical to watch the long falls hit the rocks and go into the sea. Easy to go the wrong direction in the parking lot but that's an interesting walk, as well. Go to the ticket booth! Also - have fresh cold tangerine juice after you've made the relatively short trek to the falls. See more..
  5. 4.5 Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff (646 reviews)
    - Unqiue geographical feature worth a visit
Spent < 1 hour Geologic Formations • Scenic Walking Areas
    Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff image
The hexagonal columns are formed when the lava from Hallasan Mountain erupted into the sea of Jungmun. A very unique geographical feature. Scenery of the cliff and ocean is also breathtaking and worth a visit. There are ladies selling raw seafood in the park and also a few shops at the entrance. Note that the park closes early about 520 pm in the autumn. See more..
  6. 4.5 Hamdeok Beach (517 reviews)
    - Nice area
    Beaches
    Hamdeok Beach image
Because Jeju is a volcanic island, it doesn’t have too many beaches relative to its 300 km of coastline. Hamdeok Beach is one of the closest beaches to Jeju City. It’s also one of the most picturesque in Jeju making it quite crowded when it’s warm enough to go into the water. Unfortunately when we went there were a lot of seaweed washed up on the sand. Despite the crowd, the parking lot was quite large and there is a good selection of cafes and restaurants nearby making it a decent visit even if you don’t go into the water. See more..
  7. 4.5 Hyeopjae Beach (471 reviews)
    - Great sunset spot
    Beaches
    Hyeopjae Beach image
Hyeopjae Beach is arguably the most picturesque beach in Jeju. The emerald-colored water looks beautiful during the day and it’s one of the best sunset spots in the evening. The area is quite busy because of the popularity of the beach. We were staying on the completely opposite side of the island but it was worth the long drive to hang out there for a day. See more..
  8. 4.5 Seopjikoji (312 reviews)
    - Easy and relaxing walk along the coast
    Lookouts
    Seopjikoji image
The walk along the trail at Seopjikoji was easy and relaxing. You get beautiful views of the coast, there's a Hansel and Gretel like house and a lighthouse. It is mostly flat and suitable for young children and elderly. Children will also enjoy the horse riding activities available. When we visited at sunset, you get a beautiful view of the setting sun. You also get a good view of restaurant Mint which is part of Phoenix Seopjikoji. See more..
  9. 4.5 Bijarim Forest (295 reviews)
    - A nice chance to try Jeju's forest
    Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Parks • Forests
    Bijarim Forest image
If you’re only staying here for a little while, you probably feel like you’re taking a break. So, it would be better if you visit here the day after visiting crowded spots such as Woljeongri Beach, Teseum Jeju, and Maze Park. When you take a walk along the road surrounded by huge trees, it will be touching for you to find that plenty of them have grown for decades. For those who want to know information about these trees, there are signs indicating what the tree they’re looking at is, which may include not that interesting information for someone. I recommend it here for these people: those who just want to take a walk and those who want to try the Korean forest. See more..
  10. 4.5 Yongmeori Beach (239 reviews)
    - Must visit. Part of Route 10 of Jeju Olle Walking Festival
    Beaches
    Yongmeori Beach image
This place is AMAZING. I can't describe with words how incredible it was so I will upload pictures too. I visited this place during the Jeju Olle Walking Festival and it was my favorite place. I highly recommend to visit this place. If you can, do Route 10 of the Jeju Olle Walking and you would come across this place. Also, in that place you can found ladies who are fishing and preparing dishes right away. You can try raw fish from Jeju right there. We tried and it was delicious! See more..

  12. 4.5 Woljeongri Beach (163 reviews)
    - Woljeongri Beach Beauty
    Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Woljeongri Beach image
The sea in Jeju Island was very clean and a good place to enjoy the natural scenery. There were many kinds of cafes and long coastal roads. Also, the cafes had unique personalities and were good places to take pictures and the taste of coffee was good. I went there for 2 nights and 3 days, and I could see the beautiful sea when the sun was bright, and there was a dark atmosphere of the sea when the weather was cloudy. However, unlike in the past, the whole atmosphere of the sea seemed to disappear as many buildings were built. There was a wish for a return to the old sea. Nevertheless, if I visited Jeju Island again, I wanted to go to Woljeongri Beach again. Viewers of this review also recommend going to Woljeongri beach where I went. See more..
  13. 4.5 Hallasan Seongpanak (146 reviews)
    - Plan to make the hike!
    Hiking Trails
    Hallasan Seongpanak image
It took my partner three trips to be able to reach the summit because of weather issues. I lucked out and was able to get up first trip! If you are visiting Jeju and are in basic physical shape (or better), I would absolutely recommend planning a hike. The hike will take the better part of the day and you'll need to secure a permit in advance. Don't forget to pack a lunch and plenty of water. There are easier portions of the hike towards the beginning and a few stops along the way. While the toughest part is not at the top, be prepared to wait if you want a photo by the summit sign and of the crater. See more..
  14. 4.5 Songaksan Mountain (130 reviews)
    - Refreshing walk with amazing views
    Spent 1-2 hours Mountains
    Songaksan Mountain image
I visited this place because is part of the Route 10 of Jeju Olle Walking Festival. Walking here was the most refreshing feeling. Everywhere you look is beautiful and is hard to fight the temptation of taking pictures all the time. I wanted to enjoy the walk instead of taking pictures so I tried to don't use the phone that must. Still, couldn't help it. So I will share some pictures too. I hope you have the chance to visit this place. Even better if you can do the full Route 10. Is long but is worth it. I came here during corona times and it was super safe. Max of 15 people per group and mandatory mask (and they give you one for free btw) See more..
  15. 4.5 Jeolmul Natural Forest Resort (116 reviews)
    - If you cone to Jeju this is a DON'T MISS!!
    Parks • Forests
    Jeolmul Natural Forest Resort image
Wow! I'm glad I saw this before leaving! Jeju is full of surprises and this is one of them. We were extremely lucky this was a foggy day because seeing this place in fog was really special. The amazing display of wood carvings etc at the wood exhibition place was amazing as we're all the large insects carved out of cedar wood. It's a 20 min drive from Jeju City. Apparently in summer you have to protect your lunch from the crows! A nice easy walk and an oreum (hill) trail if you want something a bit harder. There are lots of carved statues all along the way and one of those stone paths which you can walk on with your shoes off. I manage about 2 feet, too hard for me! Haha! See more..
  16. 4.5 Jeju NANTA Theatre (95 reviews)
    - Exciting
    Theaters
    Jeju NANTA Theatre image
This is my second time I see this Nanta Show. The first time was in Seoul couples of years ago. Each time it never failed to amaze me. Very exciting and energetic show played by 5 showmasters. Located at Nanta Theatre about 10 kilometers away from Jeju City. Entrance fee normally 50,000 won but we managed to get only 30,000 won through our friend. Thanks to him. Really recommended. See more..
  17. 4.5 Sanbangsan Mountain (94 reviews)
    - Sanbangsan Mountain - A Geo park
    Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Mountains
    Sanbangsan Mountain image
Sanbangsan Mountain is a wonderful bell-shaped huge body of lava situated nearby the ocean. At few places, it stretches into the ocean where majestic rock structures can be seen. Almost vertical cliffs with columnar joints at this mountain are impressive. This mountain is visible from almost everywhere in the southwest plains of Jeju. Also the legend associated with this mountain is very interesting. According to the legend, it was plucked out from the Hallasan Mountain peak by the angry Emperor when he got hit by a misfired arrow that was shot to white deer. Interestingly, it is said that the circumferences of the Sanbangsan Mountain and the crater at Hallasan are of similar size. The Jeju Olle Trail Route 10 is connected to this mountain by stairs. A Buddha temple, huge Buddha statue and the caves on this mountain are very beautiful. This mountain along with nearby Yongmeori Coast are highly recommended especially to those who love coastal cliffs and interesting rock formations. See more..
  18. 4.5 Geumneung Eutteumwon Beach (79 reviews)
    - Beach for Foreigners
    Beaches
    Geumneung Eutteumwon Beach image
This is unlike most Korean beaches because most Koreans go to the beach right up the road. Lots of space to play and relax in the sand and in the water. Beautiful sunset. Emerald water. And white sand. Shallow water is great for kids. No parasols (umbrellas), and no commercial building stores - nice! Doesn't feel like a Korea beach at all. Tip: Park on the right near the camping area. That's where you will find a nice quiet sandy spot next to natural sand dunes. Wow! See more..
  19. 4.5 Kim Younggap Gallery Dumoak (76 reviews)

  20. 4.5 World Automobile Jeju Museum (73 reviews)
    - Never expected such a place!
    Speciality Museums
    World Automobile Jeju Museum image
This place is amazing! I expected to find something of this quality in the US or Europe, not on a vacation island in Korea. The cars on display were absolutely amazing and gorgeous. Classic cars for me are better than modern machines as they have more unique designs and just invoke a more awe inspiring feeling within. Absolutely love it! See more..
  21. 4.5 Sehwa Beach (71 reviews)
    - Don’t let the unassuming first look fool you
    Beaches
    Sehwa Beach image
I was lucky to be here on a fairly sunny day, and saw the beach show its beautiful turquoise colour. Thanks to the shallow white sand bed which stretches very far out, under the sun, the water glistened and sparkled. The lava rock added the character of the whole scenery. It’s very photogenic and well worth a visit. Do not mind the industrial surrounding, it won’t interrupt your pictures. See more..
  22. 4.0 Manjanggul Cave (1.311 reviews)
    - Must visit for Volcano Lava and Nature lovers
    Monday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Caverns & Caves
    Manjanggul Cave image
This site is also known as the Manjanggul Lava Tube which is one of 7 tubes in the Geomunoreum Lava Tube System and is a World Natural Heritage Site. This is a unique cave in that lava had flowed through it to form this cave. Lights within the cave illuminate its natural features and beauty. Other than a short flight of stairs down to the cave, it is mostly a flat uneven path. Hiking shoes are recommended. The section of the tube open to the public is about 1km long and can be completed in about an hour. See more..
  23. 4.0 O’sulloc Tea Museum (1.130 reviews)
    - Touristy but fun place for photos and shopping
Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality Museums
    O’sulloc Tea Museum image
This is a highly touristy place and extremely crowded. But overall worth a visit to take picture with the tea plants and do duty free shopping at Innisfree and the O Sulloc Tea Cafe and shop. Many tea leaves, matcha flavored biscuits etc for sale which make good gifts. Remember to bring your passport and you can get immediate tax deduction for your purchase, Try out the green tea desserts at the cafe! Museum was closed when we were there in Nov 2022. See more..
  24. 4.0 Cheonjiyeon Falls (1.129 reviews)
    - Beautiful and Calming Waterfall in Seogwipo
    Waterfalls
    Cheonjiyeon Falls image
This is beautiful waterfall in the Seogwipo. It is about 20m tall and water flows into a small pond surrounded by a forested habitat. After buying the tickets (2000 KRW) to the waterfall, we walked through a short flat trail along a stream towards the waterfall. Ducks and other birds swim in the stream and coupled with the forested surroundings and distant sounds of the waterfall provides a peaceful and calming feel. On the map, it looks like the waterfall is in the middle of Chilsipnisi Park along Taepyeong-ro (fronting Casaloma Hotel) but there is no through road to the waterfall within this park as the park is on a different elevation. To reach the waterfall, visitors have to enter via Namseongjung-ro near the waterfront. See more..
  25. 4.0 Dongmun Market (721 reviews)
    - Great market for souvenirs, dried and fresh food, Jeju only snacks and restaurants
Monday: 5:00 AM - 8:00 PM Flea & Street Markets
    Dongmun Market image
Highly recommend visiting Dongmun market! The market has plentiful, and affordable fresh meat, seafood, as well as Jeju-only snacks, beverages, restaurants and dried food. For a small fee (depending on the store, around $5 for 9 Kg), food including fresh meat and seafood can be shipped from Jeju to mainland Korea. Shipment takes about a full day. I have tried this option for fresh pork belly and abalone and both arrived the next day fresh and ready for consumption. Parking around the area is a bit difficult and waiting for an available spot does get frustrating. Parking garage fees around less than $3 for a few hours. See more..
  26. 4.0 Teddy Bear Museum Jeju (719 reviews)
    - Its good for kids, not for adult

  28. 4.0 Sangumburi Crater (358 reviews)
    - Lovely crater volcano with silver grass
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Sangumburi Crater image
This is a beautiful place to see the volcano crater. Easy and short walk up the hill, much shorter and easier than the hike up Seongsan Ilchulbong! Silver grass was in season in early November and the scenery was beautiful. There are a few swings overlooking the crater, very peaceful and relaxing to spend 1-2 hours with nature. Glow from the afternoon setting sun makes it even more beautiful. Highly recommended! See more..
  29. 4.0 Eco Land Theme Park (351 reviews)
    - Relaxing Theme Park
    Amusement & Theme Parks
    Eco Land Theme Park image
Relaxing theme park with curated spaces for relaxation and soaking in the scenery. Suitable for children and elderly with wide open spaces and many instagrammable spots. Will be quite boring for teens or people looking for some exciting activities. We enjoyed the space and scenery after a hectic day of hiking the previous day. Rustic train brings one around the theme park and minimises the walking. See more..
  30. 4.0 Aquaplanet Jeju (312 reviews)
    - Very satisfied site!
Monday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Aquariums
    Aquaplanet Jeju image
It was great to see so many different fish, sharks, penguins, and even dolphins! You should book a dolphin show separately, but I recommend you to watch it if you have a chance! There's also a free performance by divers and fish so I hope you watch it. My eyes were pleasant because there were many wide transparent windows. Visit the Aqua Planet where you can get good photos and even special experiences! I recommend it :) See more..
