Touristy but fun place for photos and shopping

This is a highly touristy place and extremely crowded. But overall worth a visit to take picture with the tea plants and do duty free shopping at Innisfree and the O Sulloc Tea Cafe and shop. Many tea leaves, matcha flavored biscuits etc for sale which make good gifts. Remember to bring your passport and you can get immediate tax deduction for your purchase, Try out the green tea desserts at the cafe! Museum was closed when we were there in Nov 2022.

Perfect Place to Understand Korean Tea Culture
In the 'Tea Stone' building, you can try their tea workshops. They explained the history of Tea in Jeju and how all the elements in nature affect the taste. During the class, we were not allowed to take pictures, which made us focus on the experience and just relax, smell the aroma of the wet tea and even make tea for our friends! The desserts they served were also very nice! I drink tea a lot but this workshop proved there is much more to enjoy when you brew and prepare the tea! Personally, I devour a cup of tea in seconds but this class made me realize the pleasure I can get if I put effort into making it. There was also a decent cafe with various options all using green tea. If you like makeup and skin-care the famous Korean brand Innisfree, also has a branch there which is quite different from the shops in Seoul.

    Tourist trap
Osulloc tea Museum, Seowigpo Jeju, Korea: This was a shoo-in with a rainy morning and we had to waive the Tadao Anda glass house visit to Phoenix Island and a submarine expedition. I associate this with the elderly but it was OK as it was next to Innisfree cafe and store. Yes, it is a tourist trap. Yes, it is over-priced. But it is tourist 101 and you get to try everything matcha this and that. #eatstylishtravelstylish
