- 5.0 Boksoondoga (47 reviews)
-Unique makgeolli experience
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Distilleries
Boksoondoga, a Premium, Home-brewed Makgeolli Brand We brew liquor using our own traditional recipe that has been passed down from our grandmother. When I was little, villagers often visited our house. I remember my grandmother or mother treated the guests with liquor they made themselves. In return, the guests would give fruit or home-made food before leaving. So I thought people were very fond of our home-style rice wine and my parents enjoyed brewing the liquor. Not many makgeolli brands use nuruk, which is traditional Korean yeast. But my parents believed that nuruk was very important in brewing liquor. Another important part is the pot that keeps the rice drink inside for fermentation. We use traditional, large clay pots that have been used for 50, 60 and even 70 years. Visitors can actually tour the fermentation cellar at our brewery in Ulju. They are very curious about the jars and, often, impressed by them. See more..

This was my first time going to a bamboo forest and it was so beautiful. The bamboo was so tall and green, I just wanted to stay in there forever. - 4.5 Ganjeolgot (97 reviews)
-Beautiful cliff and place
Observation Decks & Towers
Located in Ulsan and about an hours 20 minutes journey from Ulsan and train station. Stunned with the beauty and the landscape was so magnificent. Overlooking to the open sea. This place is really an open beauty. Pro:- no entrance fee, cafe's is easily can be found especially Cafe Bene and Starbucks. Korean really appreciate the beauty of nature as this place is well taken care of. Cons: transportation is really one of the challenge however if you in Korea transport is not an issue as their system really effiecient. Please take bus 715 if you from Train station especially Taewagang Stn or express bus as this os the only bus going to Ganjeolgot. We took a taxi at ₩20,000 per way and take bus on the way back to Ulsan. Going back is hell an experience for us when we man a crazy lady on the bus. She keep on harrassing us since we are the only foreigner inside the bus itself. Other than this experience Gangeolgot is a stunning beauty that untouch even korean love it. See more..

Such a beautiful park. I went on a weekend and there was a cute little flea market going on. Lots of vendors were selling vintage clothes, crafts and boho style house products. The park itself was beautiful with tons of flower gardens, grass fields, a bamboo forest and lovely river. I can highly recommend the lighthouse and the whole area around it. I always recommend walking far away from the tourist paths, which was especially worthwhile here. We came across a beach during our walk along the coast and were able to climb a rock and view the sea from above. It was breathtakingly beautiful and will always remain in my memory See more..

- 4.5 Jangsaengpo Special Whale Culture Zone (12 reviews)
-Sad
Speciality Museums
Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Zone is a whale themed area near Jangsaengpo Port despite whaling in Ulsan having ended in 1985. There are about five attractions in the area that are aimed at kids (or at least we were the only visitors without children). We skipped the obviously tacky attractions like the 4-D movie and the monorail. Unfortunately the Whale Culture Village (supposed to be a replica of the whaling era village) was under renovation so that only left the museum, an experience center, and a warship. Whale Experience Center was actually just a small aquarium with one suffocating pool with about three dolphins and a section with a random collection of fish that wasn’t much more impressive than the neighborhood fish supply store. While seeing dolphins up close through the clear tunnels (which amplifies the noise of screaming children ten fold) might be fascinating, this definitely isn’t the place for animal lovers. See more..
- 4.5 Yeomposan Mountain (11 reviews)
-Amazing hiking trails close to downtown Dong-gu
Mountains
Numerous hiking trails cross the hill. There is a relatively flat trail that circles the Reservoir, and numerous exercise parks at strategic locations. Many trails lead off from this up the hill - great exercise for all ages. The trail maps are not quite to scale, so you have to learn which are best for you and your family. See more..

- 4.5 Jeongja Beach (7 reviews)

Beaches
See more..
