2 hours car ride from KK to Tambunan. Great experience, had the whole place to ourselves on a Sunday. Water is iced cold and it was a fun trip. Overall a great day trip to Tambunan! See more..

Natural History Museums
Nice place, lots of bugs and things. Many creatures are small and need finding but my children found lots of things. Not many butterflies at this time of year but plenty of Orchids and other forest life. See more..
- 3.0 Sinurambi Tambunan (3 reviews)
-A Great Viewing Point
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lookouts
Also known as Tambunan Viewing Point. There is 2 way for you to be here: 1. Drive from Tambunan town, do take note of the challenging road condition to this place. 2. Hiking up to this place (difficulty level : easy to moderate, based from local) You may visit this place from 8am to 5pm and enjoy the beautiful view of Tambunan. If you are lucky, you can see Mount Kinabalu so clearly from this place. I spend about an hour just to enjoy the nature view and also fresh air. However, do take note that it can be too hot during noon time, do bring along your water, hats or umbrella. Sinurambi in Dusun Language means mesmerizing. It really is! Do consider to come to this place if you are visiting Tambunan. Plus, it is FREE & well maintain See more..
- 3.0 Batu Gong (1 review)
-Hmmmmmmmm!
Points of Interest & Landmarks
I don’t really what to comment because batu gong seemed interesting if you read about it in Google or see people playing it in YouTube. However, when my party arrived at the Batu Gong place, we were surprised that 1) The hut which houses the batu gong is inside a private land, and 2) Even though the gate was wide opened, there was nobody inside to ask permission to see/view the batu gong. I wished that there was someone who was there to show us or brief us about its history and unique way of making music. It is somewhat a rare “musical instrument” in this world. See more..
