Definitely one of the best dive shops I've been to. Dives were fun and relaxing at the same time. The team was really friendly. There's also a mini bar opposite the dive shop, nice place to see the sunset and party with all the crew. If you're lucky, Ray himself will cook you a really awesome local dinner for everyone to enjoy. Will definitely return for more dives here! See more..

Had a SMASHING GREAT time with Salang Bay Divers! I did my leisure dives while my partner took his OW. Special thanks to Tash for patiently answering all my enquires and planning for my trip for me! I’m so glad I went ahead with them cause they were all very hospitable, experienced & AWESOME! To DM Ash, thanks for looking out for me - he was the DM throughout my 8 leisure dives and I felt completely safe with him. And Lee too, the quiet but really nice Rock & roll guy. We felt like they treated us like family and my partner was actually really happy with his Instructor Sonia as well! Made a lot of friends there and heard all of them were repeated divers here - this just goes to show how awesome SBD is! I highly recommend! I will be back for my AOW for sure! See more..

First time even trying diving and went ahead to take the open water certificate. A very memorable and enjoyable experience provided by the dive centre indeed. The boss was pleasant and accommodating to my friends and myself. During the whole course of certification, the instructor Affan Zanila was patient and comprehensive on the knowledge and skills transfer. It was good vibes all throughout the journey with him leading the way. Definitely would highly recommend him and the dive centre for anyone new and would like to broaden your knowledge! See more..

    Scuba Guru image
We're a family of 5 pursuing our diving license and he made the almost impossible possible! Grahame had amazing patience and professionalism throughout our course, especially for my parents who are hitting their 50s. We were originally only doing our open water course but after 4 days of great learning from Grahame, we decided to extend a few more days to do the advance course as well. Even my mum who has no swimming experience was confident in Grahame and finished her course with us! (i think that says it all) See more..

Over all great fishing trip, the team there really know their stuff and very professional and friendly. They know the best spots and really work on getting the best for the customers. Very good service and PR from Patrick and his team and I’m happy to see the quality and service level they are bringing to the recreational fishing scene in Malaysia. The sail fish was an amazing experience but getting to that point and the other kinds of fishing we did was also a great experience. Beautiful weather, good catches, delicious seafood and great company plus having the trip arrange and executed really well by the crew of LXF...priceless. See more..

  7. 5.0 Amigo Dive Center (24 reviews)
    - Nonstop underwater action!
    Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Scuba & Snorkelling
    Amigo Dive Center image
It was a complete joy to dive with An Ng and Amigo Dive Center! The last time I experienced such non-stop action shooting critters was at Lembeh. I honestly suspect An has macro contact lenses in her eyes. On many occasions it takes me a few awkward seconds before seeing the critters she sees. Each time, I squeal with delight underwater upon seeing those beautiful creatures. She also showed me three species of Shaun the Sheep, which I have looked in vain for years! Thank you! PS: Really appreciate the help that Jimmy Cheong gave throughout the dives. With him and An on the boat, there was a lot of 安全感! PPS: My life is also complete now with an epic picture with the legendary Amigo Aquaman! See more..

  9. 4.5 Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah (72 reviews)
    - A building worthy of being a state mosque
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah image
This mosque is the state mosque of Pahang. It's a nice looking Malaysian Modernist style building with a large baby blue onion dome at the centre with four smaller domes surrounding it. At the corner the building are four high towers (possibly they're minarets. There was a lecture going when I visited, but the caretaker was kind enough to let me in anyway. The caretaker was kind enough to give me a tour of the inside and a clock to wear to look inconspicuous. Which was great as the inside has some great tiles and stained glass windows. A building worthy of being a state mosque. See more..

    DiveAsia Tioman image
I went in a big group so got a great deal, we talked to lots of dive centres on the island but they gave us the best price and I'm so pleased we went with DiveAsia. The dive instructors/masters are up for a laugh and took us to amazing places to dive. The whole experience was really fun and laid back but we still did all the diving we wanted to, which was a lot! 11. 4.5 Eco-Divers (68 reviews)
    - Great experience
    Scuba & Snorkelling
    Eco-Divers image
Nic, James, and Jeff of Eco Divers provided a really first-rate diving experience. They were professional and friendly and really tailored the course to the students' needs. I did the Open Water Diver certification during the tail end of monsoon season, so my friend and I were the only ones in our course. The instructors made us feel comfortable, ensured our safety, and helped us relax and enjoy ourselves as we explored the new world of scuba diving. Not only that, but they had a great sense of humor and were always willing to advise us about what to eat, drink, and see on the island. The center's location is excellent, as well. It's very easy to find when you get off the ferry in Tioman, and you'll get to see a beautiful coral reef on your first dive. Highly recommended! See more..
  12. 4.5 Gunung Irau (Mount Irau) (50 reviews)
    - Trans Jerging lives to its reputation... Hard but worth it
    Mountains
    Gunung Irau (Mount Irau) image
We did the trans jerging hike this time. Starting at G Siku trailhead heading to G Irau and then to Yellow pass and exit. About 20-25km. Took almost 15 hours longest hike in my life and in darkness. View and journey was great. Maybe to split this into 2 hikes in future. 1 water point right after G Siku and then its all work. Bring a lightweight jacket as chilly during hike and will be useful is rain comes. Bring another new t-shirt or jacket for end of journey if you going to be stationary as its really cold in the late evening. See more..

  14. 4.5 Pine Tree Trail (42 reviews)
    - Toughest & Risky Trail ever seen
    Hiking Trails
    Pine Tree Trail image
A challenging & not easy especially for beginners . Went there with colleagues probably 20 of us . Reached Pine Tree entrance around 1am .... all of us get ready lead by our Malaysian ' Brock Lesnar ' . Actual distance covered from start till journey back was a total of 15.5km . It took us around 4.5 hrs to reach the highest twin peak but need to look into our age factor ( 35 till 50 ) . The most thrilling & risky makes us worried was final stretch of the trail before reach our aim ( 90 degrees going up ) & FYI we did this at 5.30am in the mor . According to the police personnel he's surprised since this was the first time he's came across hikers start at 1am & able pass thru the risky stretch at 5am something ! Salute to ' Hikers Not Quitters ' team See more..

    NDL - SMB image
Fantastic snorkeling trip for me and my sister. Megat was our snorkeling instructor and he really focuses on safety so I felt very secure as I was snorkeling with my sister who doesn't swim very much. He was with us the whole time and we had a lovely time viewing all the coral and tropical fish surrounding Tunamaya Resort. Also had a chance to meet John, the head of the diving center. What a unique and entertaining character. Not only is he a veteran diving coach, but he's also extremely warm and friendly and I now consider him a friend. 100% recommend this team. Best diving/snorkeling instruction in Tioman. See more..
  16. 4.5 Renggis Island (30 reviews)
    - Beautiful Marine Life
    Spent 1-2 hours Islands
    Renggis Island image
We were brought here by our resort (Aman Tioman) recreation centre staff and were given around 40 minutes to snorkel around this island. Having seen the online reviews of this place, we expected this to be one of the nicest spots for snorkeling and were not disappointed. We came on two separate days, one in the morning and afternoon. Both days there was much fish and marine life in the surrounding areas. This is the best spot to swim among live corals and small fish, of the 3 snorkelling places the staff took us to (the others being Marine Park and Nemo Reef) It can be quite a popular snorkeling spot and hence the area can get crowded with snorkelers and with small boats parked in the area. The spot is easy to snorkel with the currents not strong. But we were informed not to go near to the rocks due to the presence of sea urchins on the sea floor close to the island. See more..

She was welcoming with warm smile and had answered all our queries satisfactorily. She listened to questions from all areas attentively and offered us with options for consideration. She served with patience and did not rush us off despite it was almost closing. She has brought us with extra knowledge and a huge thump up for her professionalism and we enjoyed her extra mile service. Well done Amy and Bentong is proud for having you! See more..
