The journey to this resort took about 1hour30min drive from KK city area. The road conditions is quite bad..but once u reach the resort, the view make you speechless. Daphne is a great host. The staff is also friendly and helpful. The resort have few types accommodation such as tree house, moving cabin, long house. The resort offer activities such as diving, kayaking, fishing, jungle trip and the most enjoyable is Pandan Island Trip. Pandan Island is not far from the resort. Its a small island with beautiful rocks, clear water and nice beach. I will come back again. See more..

We started at Pirasan Gate where you need to pay RM3 at the entrance. It's an easy hike but trust me you need to bring water about 2L, food and also sweets. The journey quite long almost 4 km. The view was just so great, you can see Mt. Kinabalu from here and of course the sea, I just can't describe how beautiful it is. If you are an adventurous person, you should put this on a bucket list, why? Of course the view just worth it. See more..
  6. 4.5 Mt. Nopungguk (2 reviews)
    - Tough hike but rewarding breathtaking view!
    Mountains
    Mt. Nopungguk image
I've hiked to countless hill and mountain for years, this peak considered tough, i'll rated the toughness 8/10. The trail is steep, narrow plus slippery. It took approx 3hrs++ to reach the summit, which is 1430m. We started to hike 4am, but missed the sunrise, the time we reached the peak bout 7.30am. We still managed to see the clear and magnificent view of Mt kinabalu from this peak. Remember to bring atleast 3ltr water, i've finished mine before reaching the ending point. Bare in mind, cover all your body and bring leech spray, a few of my friends attacked by the leech!! This place must hire guide because it is under Sabah Park (max 20 hikers per day) and you will get lost easily. The guides were spectacular, they provided excellent leadership and very patient with the team members various questions. I gained lot of experiences anf benefits from this trip. Many thanks to Jonny, he was a great assistance in many ways. See more..
  7. 4.0 Tamu Market of Kota Belud (18 reviews)
    - An eye opener to the local products
Spent 2-3 hours Flea & Street Markets • Farmers Markets
Tamu Market of Kota Belud image
The market was bustling with vendors and buyers. Fresh fruits and vegetables are at very affordable price. You can find many new fruits found only in Sabah, and they are really, really delicious. The vendors will attentively answer my "ridiculous" questions such as "what is this?", how do you cook it? How do you eat it? Etc etc. The best part of it is i managed to find and buy the tarap fruit. To those who have the opportunity to go to any pasar tamu, do look for the "tarap fruit". If you are lucky, you can find them even if it is out of seadon See more..
  8. 4.0 Kampung Sangkir (1 review)
    - Magnificent View

    Kampung Sangkir image
I am a big fans of paddy field & I must say that Kg Sangkir has a beautiful paddy field in Malaysia, like Peninsular Malaysia but with an additional Mt Kinabalu view as a background. This was my 2nd time here & one of the main reason why I wanted to explore Kota Belud. Over the years, I can see few area was developed as cafe or lodge to attract more tourists, which is a good thing. However for me, I just love to sit by the roadside & enjoying the view and the local farmers performing their daily task. This place always have a special place in my heart. Note : Please check before you come, so you wont be coming during the harvesting time. See more..

Dolphin Island, located in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, is one of the few private islands in Sabah. The entire island is surrounded by the blue waters, unlike the crowded people of other islands, Dolphin Island can give you the impression that the entire island is contracted by you. See more..
