   Masjid Salmah Khamis was completed around a year ago in a scenic part of Kampung Durian Daun. The village sits along the way between Masjid Tanah town and Alor Gajah, and by extension to the North South Highway. The mosque is partially built on a lake with green hills in the background. A recreational park is located on the other side of the lake. A religious school is located across the street and students from this school would flock the mosque at prayer times.    Taman Rekreasi Durian Daun is located by the main road between Masjid Tanah and Alor Gajah. This particular spot is a break from monotony of shophouses and some village houses dotting the roadside. In fact I was pleasantly surprised to come across this park which also has a mosque located next to it. A jogging path and a small children playground is available and a couple of street vendors set up shop at the parking lot for visitors' refreshment. See more..
