Wonderful experience that consisted of a trip down the Tundo river and about a 15 minute hike to a beautiful waterfall, before returning. The nature was beautiful, but Francisco (the owner and tour guide) made the tour. Very patient, calm, and genuine person. Ankla Azul is definitely one of the best diving centers I have dived with! The owner and diving instructor - Ja - is extremely professional, considerate and a super nice guy! My girlfriend and I hadn’t been diving in quite some time and we were a bit nervous to go diving again, but after talking to the diving instructor the day before the dive we already felt at ease again as we could already tell that we could really trust him. On the day of the dive the diving instructor really took his time to walk us through everything again to make sure that we would be confident and most importantly - be safe! We had two great dives and were really happy that we decided to go diving with Ankla Azul. We recommend everyone to go diving with them and if we are ever again in the area, we will definitely dive with Ankla Azul again! Keep up the good work! See more..

I recently finished my Open Water Certificate with CUE, and I highly recommend working with them. The course is fun, engaging, informative, and clearly communicates passion for diving! Andres’s excitement is contagious, yet he manages to strike a nice balance with keeping safety in the foreground, alongside a clear understanding of the surroundings. When I did my first immersion I felt safe and confident that I knew what I was doing. He has also made himself available to answer questions and provided advice after I finished the course. We had the greatest experience during the tour with our guides : Santiago, Maria and Laura ! The team has a really great energy : you can absolutely tell that they are passionate about their jobs and about whales ! We learned a lot about whales and their behavior during the tour and had the chance to see so many of them. The team is super respectful with the whales and are not chasing them in any way. After whale watching, we went for a great lunch in a small community near a river and then went tubing. It was a very chill moment and gave us the opportunity to discuss more with the guides - that have so much to teach about whales and marine wildlife in general. It was by far the best guided tour during our Chocó trip! The tour guide "El Tigre" lives with his family a bit remotely from the town center but you can easily get there by foot and can always ask others where to find "El Tigre" because they all know them. ;-) The tour consists in a boat trip to a nice part of the Pacific beach, then a walk to a waterfall and a very nice (freshly prepared!) fish lunch with good coffee. This is a magical place located in Capurgana, Colombia. The access isn't difficult, if you enjoy walking. From the Capurgana town, you start walking with the sea in your right side, actually the road is marked and it's only one way to get there, so is impossible get lost. We went with sanblaseasy in a small group and enjoyed it a lot. Marco organised everything and even came to the boarder with us. Afterwards just Kuna people. We walked both ways to this enchanting bay from Capurgana. On our way out we hugged the coast the start which was interesting. Then as we scrambled round headlands and passed the local poet in his shack things were no longer tame. I took this short hike on the spur of the moment and didn't have appropriate clothing for the pools, but the walk itself was totally worth it. The trail was a great way to see the jungle as well as views out the sea, and there was lemonade to enjoy at the end. The trail was muddy in places as I went during rainy season, but the trail was safe and well-maintained, well worth the small admission fee to the pools. See more..

I took a boat from Capurganá to Sapzurro and walked back on this trail (the section to Panama was closed because of the pandemic). This was a great way to get to know the jungle, and steps made it easy to navigate the steepest sections of the hillside. Bilingual signs along the way provide info about the flora and fauna, and a toll station near the top offers much-needed drinks for staying hydrated. I walked the trail a few hours after a thunderstorm, so there was plenty of mud, but nothing most people shouldn't be able to handle. See more..

Nice place to visit. We could walk through the forests, rivers and we swan in natural pools. In Capurgana the food is very delicious for example I remember they sold plantains with tuna and corn and and it has many delicious restaurants. One of my favorite places is the Malecón. It’s in the center of Quibdó, and this is a very nice place. It is a very nice place to watch the sunset. I go there every vacation. When I am there, it is normally for a walk with my friends, to eat, talk etc. I like it because it is a spacious, attractive, very nice to take pictures and, above all, because it is beautiful to watch the sunset on the banks of the Atrato River.
