We spent a week in Covenas and planned for scuba diving on Tuesday but the winds where to strong and the sea probably not safe. Guillermo adviced against trying to scuba with those conditions (which I thank him for and shows his professionalism and commitment to the safety of his clientes. We where able to scuba on Friday near Tintipan Island. The weather was perfect and visibility pristine. We did two dives and then had lunch (pescado frito) at the island. Guillermo went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs and he delivered. I recommend Covenas Diving Co to anybody who has the chance to visit Golfo de Morrosquillo. We will be back for sure. Rincon Dive Center is by far the best dive center I have been to. I had not been diving since one year ago. Stefy and Gio are so wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. They are knowledgeable about diving and the surrounding dive sites. Their passion and positive energy is contagious. We were provided snacks and water to keep us hydrated and fed. This was my second visit to Rincon and I would highly recommend using Rincon Dive Center for all your diving adventures and schooling! See more..

I've done my open water certification CMAS and also my diving baptem at the Buceo center of Rincon del mar and I had a very good time with Julie and Alberto. They are great instructors, serious and reliable. They are fun and nice people as well. They manage to teach us to dive in English, Spanish and even French if necessary. Mucura Island is located in Bolivar department, near to Cartagena city or Coveñas. You have to take a boat from one of this cities to go to Mucura Island. I went to this Island last year to visit the Mucura Club Hotel, located in the north part of the island. There was excelent atention to visitors, the food was amazing! My favourite was the "ajillo octopus", I ate that with a local beer. In the hotel people can do kayaking around the island, it was incredible! I liked so much this hotel due to there was a beautiful amenities, and there were helpful people. I recommend the hotel and the island, because there I let a part of me. See more..

We just visited Salto del Sereno. It was a bit of a mission, but an adventure!! From Sincelojo, you take a Jeep to Coloso from El Pescador (Ask the taxi driver to take you to El Pescador-transport to Coloso....they will know where to go). The Jeep ride was 7000 pesos per person and took about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Coloso ask around.....you can find a moto quite easily to take you to the private finca where the waterfall is located (10 000 pesos per person one way). But!!.....if the road to the finca is wet, then you can't go by moto!!. You need to take a moto to the outside of town (5 minutes) where you can either continue by foot for 7kms (>1 hour walking), or go by horse. The moto driver can take you to the horse guy. A horse is 20 000 pesos per person return and includes a guide that is with you the whole time. The guide walks all the way on foot, so be generous and give him a descent tip!! Entry to the falls is 1000 pesos per person which you pay when you arrive at the finca. It is a 7 minute walk to the falls. When you return with the guide, they can organise a moto to take you back into Coloso. (2000 pesos per person) where there are regular jeeps returning to Sincelejo. Suggestions: It's a long hot walk......take a horse!! Try going during the week-there are more people there on the weekend. Much better with less people!! There are idiots who leave rubbish there, so maybe take an empty rubbish bag with you and pick some up while you are there.....just a nice thing to do. Take sunscreen and a hat! Very cool spot to visit and beautiful scenery along the way!! See more..
