We were really happy with the service here! Such kind people and trustworthy! Because of rainy season it was not possible to go to Punta Gallinas and they were totally honest about it. We had so much fun during the tour and saw amazing places. We definitely will return here to do the full tour! We also recommend this company to everyone. Muchas Gracias a Paola y Arnaldo! See more..

-A must do experience
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Multi-day Tours • Cultural Tours • 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Eco Tours • Sightseeing Tours
We had an amazing time with Beatrice and Esneider. Everything about the organization and execution of the trip was outstanding. Fantastic communication throughout and they went out of their way to give us a trip to remember. They were knowledgeable about the region and have taken the time to form close relationships with the local Wayuu people, which shows their genuine love and respect for La Guajira. We did the four day tour, which I would highly recommend as it allows for a more leisurely pace and a chance to enjoy the landscape and the people. Thank you for a great trip! See more..

-Best Horseback Riding Tour in Colombia!
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM Nature & Wildlife Tours • Horseback Riding Tours
Had the best experience with Horseshoe Tours! Loïs was super accommodating with booking my riding experience. Eduardo the guide and Wilde a volunteer were fantastic, very personable and experienced. The trails were stunning and we even got to go for a swim in the river. Usually weary of any animal tourism but Loïs and her team came so highly recommended and clearly take excellent care of their horses. Could not recommend them more! See more..

-Great Touring Company
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Multi-day Tours
Amazing trip to La Guajira - Colombia, but it was only good thanks to Kaishi Travel and his dedicated owner Andres Delgado. Andres and his staff are very puntual, responsible and committed to their job. A life experience trip for me and my niece at the unexplored land of Northern Colombia. Here is a tip, If you want to bring presents to the local kids, ask Andres, he will recommend you the best for the season; it's very rewarding to see their smiling happy faces. See more..

-Superb
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Cultural Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
The trip was just perfect. Everything went according to plan. Angel, our driver and guide, was more like a local friend showing us his land and culture. Is so good that we even get to know a Colombia young movie actor. Food was delicious. I recommend you pay extra at restaurants to get lobster. Lodging was the best according to what it is available, which is also part of the experience. It is not cheap but absolutely worth every penny. We took the private tour 3 days 2 nights!! See more..

-Great experience with Praia Kitesurf!
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Surfing & Windsurfing • Gear Rentals
During my five months backpacking in Central America and Colombia I came to Riohacha to learn kitesurfing. First I took lessons there but unfortunately the next days the wind conditions became bad...kindly Jonathan offered to finish the course in Cabo de la Vela. There I spent a few more days and finally I could manage to ride! I really enjoyed the time there with kitesurfing in the morning, delicious fresh fish for lunch, naps in the hammock and again lessons in the afternoon! Lisa and Jonathan are great and patient instructors and I had an amazing time with them! Thank you for an unique experience! See more..

-Amazing spot to lean kitesurf
Surfing & Windsurfing • Gear Rentals • Boat Rentals
I spent a month in cabo de la vela and kiting with awalayuu kiteschool. The spot's conditions are amasing to learn how to kite. I learnt how to kite in just a few hours and then kited every day. The conditions are espcialy good during the sunset, wich is so beautiful. The teachers from Awalayuu are really nice and funny. Their school has a very good spirit and is the most beautiful in cabo. And the beter is that the two brothers owning the school are wayu (local people) who are now competiting at international level. The money the earn from the school allow them to travel and participate the competitions. Really a whole great experience. See more..

-The best experience in Palomino
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
Our host Alex was amazing, he showed us a part of Palomino that was hidden for the regular tourist. The visit to the Kogi community was outstanding, we experience in a real and original way their culture and their daily life. Alex knows a lot about the area and its people. The walk was really interesting and the view was beautiful and taking a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water of the river is a must. At the end we went to his house and took a super yummy lunch. This was the highlight of our trip. See more..

-If You Come to Palomino, You will go Tubing..
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing
Tubing is one of the must do things in Palomino. There are several places who can arrange the adventure. I asked the hostess of our BNB and the next day, a motorcycle showed up to take me to pick up a tube, a guide and off we went down the river. You will see all sorts of birds and although I did not see them, I could hear the howler monkeys. Our journey ended near where the river joins the sea which is a great place to settle down, have a drink, lunch and swim either in the river or the sea. See more..
- 4.5 Cabo de la Vela (290 reviews)
-Cabo de la vela
Beaches
The Cabo de la vela is located in La Guajira, Colombia. I was there 1 year ago I love this place because it is a beautiful destination, a secluded place of the city weight with amazing landscapes, a place where the beach and the desert come together. There, you can eat the typical gastronomy of La Guajira, sleep in the beach or in "chinchorros", do a tour for the territory, know the wayuu culture and if you have time, you must go to Punta Gallinas to have a complete experience of La Guajira. Our Guide was wonderful, he shows and told us all the places and mistakes of the Cabo, such as the souls in the Pilon de azucar or how the rainbows are formed in playa arcoiris. La Guajira is a Magical place, it had many adventures to you See more..
- 4.5 Punta Gallinas (287 reviews)
-Completes your view in Colombia
Nature & Wildlife Areas
Very long journey to arrive there over -most of the time- bad roads but we found it rewarding and special. The stars in the sky were one of the most beautiful we have ever seen and the remoteness of the land in the far north is stunning. How do people (Wayuu tribe) choose for centuries to live there under such difficult circumstances? Very poor area and tourism has induced that children and adults block roads with ropes hoping to get something. Tourists are advised to give drinkwater and (unfortunatedly) sweets. Also questionnable whether it would not be better to ask tourists to contribute a certain amount to allow drinking water and food distribution in a better way as now only the strong and aggressive families will get something. Furthermore it is noot good to learn them to beg! An idea would be to give families food/drinkwater in return for plastic collection as the only colors in the landshape comes from plastic . - 4.5 Santuario de Fauna & Flora (230 reviews)
-Awesome unique experience
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM National Parks
Our trip with Jordan was so memorable. You may think you know what flamingos look like, but seeing them in big groups in the wild is a completely different experience than the zoo. Especially if they fly! It's so cool. Jordan is such a nice guy, born and raised in camarones, and he supports his family with this business so you can feel good about supporting locals instead of expat tour operators. He took us out in a traditional hand made boat with a sail for going one way and paddle/stick for going against the wind (no centerboard so it can't sail in to the wind). Contact Jordan on WhatsApp +57 312 6614529. He'll hook you up. We stopped there on a week long motorcycle trip through the desert (also highly recommended) but he can arrange transportation from nearby Riohacha or elsewhere if needed. Worth every peso, such a different experience and an awesome family to support. See more..

-Rigo Is the Best!!
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Eco Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
My wife and I took a private tour through La Guajira, and it was incredible — largely due to Rigo, our driver, who was perfect. He knew every area we visited and every person we met, and he was funny, kind and respectful. We have told everyone we know about this tour — and the beauty and tranquility of La Guajira, which we’ve never experienced anywhere else — and we tell everyone to take the tour with Rigo. (Even today, four months later, we are texting and sending pictures with Rigo!) See more..

There is a trend now in Colombian cities to have nice boardwalks. Was lovely to see that Riohacha has one. Plenty of street vendors. - 4.5 Kite Addict Colombia (119 reviews)
-Amongst Colombia's best beaches!
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Surfing & Windsurfing • Gear Rentals
I loved it here. I took a plane to Barranquilla with a friend and slowly made my way up to Riohacha. From there I paid a Wayuu person with a truck for a bit too much- since he had no one to take. But as we prepared to take off the back part filled up with about 12 others (all local Wayuu though). Was ok since we left when we needed and we sat in the cab. The ride was great! Not comfortable but the view and the experience was fantastic! The we got a flat, whilst the moon came out. And some wayuu children began to chat with us and teach us the names for moon and sky and stars- It was lovely. We stay in a hammock hostal called el Caracol hospedaje. I was happy. I highly recommend a trip of this sort. There are private room options but staying in open air on the hammock was surprisingly pleasant! I highly recommend :) See more..

-Amazing view!
Monuments & Statues
This was one of the most amazing place in La Guajira! You need to hike a small mountain, so be aware to wear proper shoes (sandals are not recommended). It is really windy, so avoid to wear hats as well... And the best part is the golden beach you will find there! It is one of the most amazing beaches (not crowded) See more..
