We booked this skydiving tour through Juan Ballena Tours. At first, we were nervous that we couldn’t find any reviews for the Juan Ballena Skydiving Tour, but the whole experience could not have gone better. We were given specific instructions about how to get to the skydiving meeting point by taking a bus that was included in the price, and when we were ultimately picked up by Skydive Caribe we were greeted by three guys who made us immediately comfortable. They gave us detailed instructions, and even with the language barrier they were able to describe everything and make us feel safe. Yulder, Eduardo, and Fabian explained that they have jumped thousands of times and are even certified with United States skydiving licenses. The entire time we felt safe and comfortable. They took pictures and videos that were included in the price. Very friendly people. Amazing experience. See more..

We had great time at Salinas over the Christmas break. I contacted Juan Pablo when we arrived and he was able to accommodate daily kite classes starting the next day. Overall I feel that throughout one week of intense classes I managed to improve my skills a lot. Big thanks to JP for great leading, accommodating my schedule and local tips, also great hospitality. Barranquilla isn't the most touristy city so when looking for something to do it's a bit tough. This is a no brainer. B/quilla has 2 large malls. This is one of them, the other is less than 5 km away. Both are worth visiting. Tons to do, shop, eat, sit, play etc. All the food is great, the shopping is well within what you'd expect for a large shopping mall. It's safe and clean. GREAT place to spend a few hours! See more..

It is true that the rooms might need a bit of improvement but I was told they are rebuilding an entire part of the hotel and shall be soon ready. However I must say that this is a classic, beautiful and full of history hotel. With the best swimmingpool in Barranquilla you get back to the early 20th century just sipping a drink by the pool. Those wonderful palm trees in this superb architecture and you know you are at the right place. Great service, Diego just parked my car and got all things while I checked in. I must say that I wanted to try another 5* and when to the Movich but never going back there. This is the place to be and I hope to be back soon and maybe experience the famous carnival one day. I asked around and found out there's a few natural reserves around Florencia that are safe-havens of environmental protection in the area. I got in touch with Guillermo, who is socio of El Horeb and offers tours through the reservat. Guillermo really went out of his way to make my day unforgettable! He picked me up at my hotel in Florencia in the early morning and got me back safe at night. He's very dedicated to the entire project of environmental protection and to make people aware of the importance and the beauty of the Amazon, he knows the most magical and hidden places within the reservation and led me to awe-inspiring natural sites. I spent the day floating in rivers, exploring caves and even chilling in a hammock for a decent siesta. Food (lunch) and great company were included.
