Great trip!

It was by far the best guided tour during our Chocó trip! The tour guide "El Tigre" lives with his family a bit remotely from the town center but you can easily get there by foot and can always ask others where to find "El Tigre" because they all know them. ;-) The tour consists in a boat trip to a nice part of the Pacific beach, then a walk to a waterfall and a very nice (freshly prepared!) fish lunch with good coffee. Finally, there is some time to relax in the hammocks. The family is very friendly and definitely experienced tour guides. Thank you!

Amazing day in stunning natural setting!
I did the tour with a friend together and I can only recommend it! I read about the Cascada el tigre tour on the travel blog called "The unconventional Route" and found it just as great as described on the page!!!! Me and my friend chose the lazy option to go to the "Cascada el Tigre" park by boat, there is also the possibility to hike! Once we arrived, the guide led us to different spots, where we could climb up the waterfalls and swim in the natural pools. All the waterfalls are either directly located at the beach or a short walk away from it into the jungle. So you can first have a shower under the waterfall in the rainforest and then jump directly into the Pacific Ocean ;)! The tour option we booked included a nice lunch! After that we relaxed in the hammocks they have installed there - again with the same scenery - the jungle in the back, in front the pacific ocean, there are definitely worse places for a nap :). All in all we had a super great day and would definitely do the tour with the guys again!!

    Fun with caution
Arrived at the falls a bit late in the day on a tour and had to hurry a bit but still had fun. The beach and jungle meet which is an exciting setting. We were able to wade and climb up quite a few small tiers. There were a few places to jump in the water but not too high up. Water definitely refreshing. Surprised more people don’t get hurt here - or maybe they do. Not the place for slippery shoes or bare feet.
