I never saw a place as “Parque dos Falcões”. It is not a Zoo. It’s a hospital and a secure place for hawks and owls! They support the Oficial Agency to Protect the Wild Life providing a recovery center for these birds and only when they can not be reintroduced do they host the animals! A real good job! In addition two things are unique in this Park. 1. Only there you see up close a "Harpia", the largest bird in the world. Originally from the Amazon, she allows herself to be seen next, since she was rescued from human ill-treatment and accustomed to close human beings. 2. Touch the birds and put them in the hand and body. No place in the world do you have the opportunity of so much close contact with these birds. It is very close to Aracaju and in 4 hours you do this schedule counting your displacement. It offers two schedules for the public. 9am and 2pm. Unmissable . Unique experience in the world! Beatiful landscapes while sailing through the São Francisco river. Canyon is a wonderful place but it is only part of the overall beauty of the region. This is a lovely trip but if you make it as a one-day trip from Aracaju it may be get tiresome. Keep in mind it is a long trip (3-4 hours) from Aracaju. Best option should be going there by yourself. I strongly recommend you to stay one night there -- stay in Piranhas (AL), a lovely city across the river. Enjoy the sunset there, walk around the small and cosy town. While there you can also visit the Xingó hydroelectric and the archaeological museum. There are enough options for a lovely weekend. As everything else, you may enjoy it better (= less crowded) if you avoid the peak season. See more..

We found a small boat hire company called marina prado and a nice guy took us for a private boat hire along the river stopping for photos and a paddle before taking us over too the sand bank where there is a boat restaurant and jet ski hire ! We had a small salad with chicken and a jug of fresh juice it was very good and not expensive ,the boat hire could have lasted about 5 hours but due to a rain shower we decided too leave early we highly recommend this , the length of stay is in your control See more..

Mosqueiro Beach is about 22km south of Aracaju,Segipe, its more or less the pick up point where you take a Catamaran that will take you on to Croa do Goré and Ilha dos Namorados. There is Food and Drinks available on the Catamaran. Há ossadas e demonstrações de como eram os sepultamentos, há utensílios de pedra e argila originais, de milhares de anos passados.
Conta com guias que são alunos da Universidade, os que nós encontramos são aptos a prestar os esclarecimentos e informações, tiram dúvidas e estão abertos a conversa sobre os temas referentes à arqueologia.
Há uma taxa que deve ser paga numa sala em frente ao museu, quem quiser, pode compra camisetas e demais souvenires.
