-Uma trilha com meus alunos na Flona
Forests
See more..

- 4.5 Santuario Dom Bosco (6.319 reviews)
-Read about Dom Bosco in advance
Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Religious Sites
As others have commented and pictures attest, the interior of this Santuario is breathtaking. Before visiting, read about Dom Bosco, and his dream that "prophesied" the building of Brasilia that led to him being the patron saint of the city. It's an interesting story. During your visit, go downstairs to the crypt dedicated to him. The steps leading down are next to the altar. This location is also very near the beginning of one of the residential areas (one of the "wings" in the airplane design plan) of the city. It's a good starting point for a walk if you are interested in seeing some of the planned residential blocks, in addition to the more famous tourist sites. See more..

-That is the place to be!
Monday: 5:00 AM - 12:00 AM Parks
If you are in Brasilia, you will notice that there are very few people on the streets in comparison to other Brazilian cities. If you ask yourself where they are, they are in this park. Just go there and watch the people pass by on skates, bikes, jogging, strolling. They all are very sporty. There are running tracks with 4, 6 and 10km. But as white European, please use a sunblock with 50 at least. Most parts of the tracks are with no single tree or shadow. You will burn yourself terribly. There are water dispenser once in a while or people selling coconuts for drinkin (3R$). You can also use one of the adult playgrounds to work out belly, arms and legs, while your kids are at the amusement park. Very recommendable to spend your freetime there. There is also a go-cart track and some funny showers. Just put a button and some tiny waterdrops will be dispensed. Feels good at the skin. Just try it out! There are also mango trees fore everyone. Feel free to pick and eat one. See more..

The Temple of Good Will (TGW) is an ecumenical monument located in Brazil's capital. It was conceived and built by Jose de Paiva Netto, President of the Legion of Good Will (LBV), who inaugurated it in October 1989. Every year it receives more than one million pilgrims, making it the most visited place in the city, according to official data from the State Secretariat of Tourism of the Federal District (SETUR). Acclaimed by the people as one of the Seven Wonders of Brasilia, the TGW is on the official list of monuments for tourists to visit during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It is part of the Legion of Good Will's Ecumenical Complex, together with the World Parliament of Ecumenical Fraternity, the LBV's ParlaMundi. Known as the Temple of Peace, it is a mystical and spiritual icon. Its doors are open day and night to serve the needs of its visitors searching for a place to pray or meditate freely, according to their beliefs. See more..
- 4.5 Itamaraty Palace (2.431 reviews)
-The ultimate architectural elegance
Monday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Architectural Buildings • Government Buildings
Designed by Oscar Niemeyer and inaugurated in 1970, Itamaraty Palace is the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the design conception, Ambassador Wladimir Murtinho was in charge of informing the architect about the needs that had to be addressed. The partnership was so successful that, up to this day, no structural changes have been made to the building for they have not been necessary. The structural calculation, which allowed for the construction of an impressive main hall, free of columns, was carried out by engineer Joaquim Cardoso. Itamaraty Palace was conceived with the purpose of introducing Brazil to foreign visitors; therefore, it was built only with national materials and their halls harbor works by Brazilian or naturalized Brazilian artists exclusively, such as Athos Bulcão, Alfredo Volpi, Bruno Giorgi, Frans Krajcberg, Franz Weissmann, Maria Martins, Mary Vieira, Iberê Camargo, Ione Saldanha, Rubem Valentim, Sérgio de Camargo, and Tomie Ohtake. - 4.5 Jardim Botânico de Brasília (1.258 reviews)
-Beautiful sanctuary for people and wildlife
Monday: Gardens
An awesome place to visit, and very popular with good reason. When we arrived before the gates opened, there were already cars lined up waiting to get in. The restaurant and the area around it are very busy on weekends. Hikers and birders will enjoy the distant areas of the garden, too. One significant detraction is a large glass room in the middle of the garden housing cactuses which I understand is a death trap for birds who do not see the glass and fly into it and break their necks. It's hard to understand why a place which does so much to attract and support the native flora and fauna would build something like this. See more..

I have been there three times. The first two i really enjoyed, the park is great and has an amazing view! I recomend it to everyone that is visiting Brasilia, you just have to pick the right day. When there is a hot weekend gets too crowdy, since everyone goes there bathing. The sun was too hot and we didn't find a place to sit near the lake. See more..

- 4.5 Chapada Imperial (649 reviews)
-Must see in Brasilia
Monday: Spent More than 3 hours National Parks
Best sight in Brasilia. The best part is swimming in 5 waterfalls. The water is warm but not two warm, the pools have areas for all ages and swimming ability, you can even canyoning a bit. I would say due to the hiking between pools I would recommend minimum age of 6 but if your child likes swimming a lot I might lower that to 4. They also are rehabilitating birds, they are blue/yellow and very large. One warning not a lot of English is spoken on the tour, but its not hard to follow along. Once the tour is finish they serve lunch and have a high ropes course and animals that children would enjoy interacting with. I would recommend given 90 minutes travel time from Brasilia and any anticipated traffic. I will enjoy this tour every time I'm in Brasilia. See more..

-Excellent private tour of Brasilia
Multi-day Tours • Hop-On Hop-Off Tours • Taxis & Shuttles • Private Tours • Wine Tours & Tastings • Bus Tours • Day Trips
Irma and her husband were wonderful guides. Picked me up on time in a nice clean car with water for me. We saw so much all over the city. My favorites were the JK museum, the palace hotel, and the third bridge, designed to look like a skipping stone. Irma was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. They were both so kind and welcoming. I was in Brasilia for work and had only one day to explore and understand the city. A private tour was perfect and I’m so glad I did this. I will be calling them when I return again for work so I can see more! See more..
