- 4.5 Jacare Beach (9.065 reviews)
-Beautiful
Monday: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Beaches
We were treated to saxophone music to the glorious backdrop of the sun setting on the river. The little cruise boat we rode on was great fun. Two "pirates" led us through a hilarious, immensely fun dance and a guide gave us a tour of the sights around us. See more..
- 4.5 Cabo Branco Beach (4.211 reviews)
-Possibly the best beach in the city
Beaches
Cabo Branco Beach is possibly the best beach in the city, mostly because of the infrastructure in the area: there are many hotels, beach bars, restaurants of all types (from pizza joints to fine dining establishments); you can rent bicycles to ride on the dedicated bike path that runs all along the coast of Joao Pessoa to Cabedelo. If you are a sun worshipper, you can rent a beach chair and an umbrella and sit on the golden sand, looking at the beautiful turquoise water that’s always warm. Cabo Branco Beach is flanked by 2 other beaches: Tambaú Beach and Seixas Beach which is where the easternmost point of the Americas is located. There are a lot of reasons to visit this beach and I highly recommend you come. See more..
- 4.5 Coqueirinho Beach (3.393 reviews)
-A bit crowded but still gorgeous
Beaches
Coqueirinho... you have changed, but you charm is till there. Myself and wife (locals living overseas) took an European couple for a tour around the beaches and guess what: they didn't want to leave Coqueirinho. I saw a review (@WongBrazil) complaining about the color of the water (yellowish) and the sun (how can you go to the beach and complain about the sun?). You have to check the season before going. Water temperature is awesome all year long, but around the Summer it gets a clear green tone which is fantastic. When coming down the cliff, you can either go to the right (find a comfortable bar and hotel structure and awesome canyons) and/or left (bars are humble but THIS is what keeps this place so good with a cosy little bay). The access is a bit harder, parking is difficult, but you got to stay here for at least 4 hours, enjoy its peace, before making a review. I love this place and so does everyone I take there. - 4.5 Praia de Tambaba (2.252 reviews)
-Favorite Beach in Brazil
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Beaches
I've lived in Brazil for two years and I've seen all kinds of beaches - Tambaba is my favorite. The fact that it's also a "nudie" beach is incidental. I'm not a nudist, but I do follow the rules of the beach. Don't worry, you get used to it. Tambaba is a two-hour drive from Recife. You'll need to park your car and then walk along the "regular" beach to access the entrance. It's a fair walk so don't take a lot of stuff. There's a little restaurant on the beach so you don't even need to bring water. Note to women and families: Tambaba is a safe, secure, clean and well-regulated beach. I've gone there several times with my children and there's nothing to fear. One of the reasons I love it is there are so few people... and no weirdness. Just a quiet cove, beautiful cliffs and the occasional surfer. Try it! See more..
- 4.5 Piscinas Naturais do Seixas (1.213 reviews)

If you visit João Pessoa city you must do a tour by boat to Piscinas Naturais Seixas. The boat departs from Tambaú Beach and the tour takes over 2 hours. You can swim with the fishes in the reefs. It's a Caribbean sample in Brazil. I can organize tour in a boat with bar, waterslide, kayak, snorkel, scuba diving and photos. Send me a message for further information. See more..
- 4.5 Camboinha Beach (1.114 reviews)

Nice beach for walking, swimming, stand up paddling( this years fashion) unfortunately no infrastructure. Go prepared! Mainly frequented by the owners of the summer residences that line the beach. A favourite over the holiday period for these families, only form of socialisation being house visiting from early afternoon onwards. Streets now considered unsafe for walking after nightfall.Outside of the high season you can easily have the place to yourself! See more..

- 4.5 Espaco Cultural Jose Lins Do Rego (250 reviews)
-Cultural Center
Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Convention Centers
The Jose Lins do Rego Cultural Center is a great place to visit and learn more about the city and state in which it is located. In addition to concerts given and movies shown in the building, there is also a good museum dedicated to the writer for whom the building is named, as well as a small art gallery located across the hallway. One improvement that could be made is better signage as the museum--located in the basement--is not easy to find. I also asked directions from clerks working in one of the numerous kiosk/stores located around the main open concert hall, and I was told that this museum is actually located in the center of the city! (Another improvement would be to have books written by Jose Lins do Rego available for sale in or near the museum.) See more..
