  1. 5.0 Perito Moreno Glacier (12.7k reviews)
    - Unreal
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Geologic Formations
    Perito Moreno Glacier image
We visited here via boat which is highly recommend. Our tour started punta bandera port and took us all over the lake stopping at amazing quiet places before heading to the glacier. It was amazing to sail past the huge icebergs before seeing the glacier front. We then had chance to get off the boat and walk the paths to the viewpoints and the whole thing was amazing. Worth staying in one place a while to wait for break offs, even small ones are so loud and incredible to see and hear. There are now so few glaciers left in the world it was just mind blowing to see this. Absolutely worth a visit. (Entry is 2520 pesos I think but students get in 130ish so wish I took my card with me!) See more..
  2. 5.0 Perito Moreno Glacier (6.674 reviews)
    - Gobsmacking Glacier
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Geologic Formations
    Perito Moreno Glacier image
A trip to this imposing glacier gives you a chance to walk on the ice wearing cleats and to see and hear a truly astounding spectacle: blocks of ice rupturing and floating away as icebergs. See more..
  3. 5.0 Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi (3.184 reviews)
    - Patagonia at Its Best
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi image
Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi was created in 1934 from land donated by naturalist Francisco Moreno. (The park's history is covered in detail in Bariloche's Museo de la Patagonia in Centro Civico.) It is Argentina's oldest national park and the 2nd largest and averages 800,000 visitors each year. We went on a half-day tour which visited all the highlights -- Cerro Campanario, Lago Moreno, Punta Panoramico, Llao Llao Resort and Capilla de San Eduardo. Truly spectacular views of crystal blue lakes and snow capped mountains. WOW!!! See more..
  4. 5.0 Cerro Fitz Roy (2.927 reviews)
    - Stunning
    Mountains
    Cerro Fitz Roy image
Went on a 22km trek to the base of Fitzroy - amazing scenery. One section has a 400m incline over 1 km so pretty steep but well worth the effort. If you have walking sticks I would recommend taking them to take the strain of your knees - especially coming down ! See more..
  5. 5.0 Pasarelas Perito Moreno (2.470 reviews)
    - Awesome Experience!
Spent More than 3 hours Geologic Formations
    Pasarelas Perito Moreno image
We visited the Glacier with an experienced and knowledgeable guide, Maria Guadalupe Castano. She was fantastic and made the experience so interesting and enjoyable. The glacier was absolutely awesome! Maria let us choose which pathway we would take to explore the glacier, and she let us take our time soaking in each view and explaining the features of the glacier that we were seeing. We highly recommend a day trip to the glacier from El Calafate and Maria Guadalupe's services. She is delightful! [email protected] See more..
  6. 5.0 Laguna Torre (1.556 reviews)
    - Long but flat walk
Bodies of Water • Historic Walking Areas • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Laguna Torre image
Easy peasy compared to Laguna fe los tres the day before but the weather was perfect for us. All very flat, no steep parts at all but it's about 8 miles each way. Great views all along the trail and it's very easy to follow. Good walking boots needed as it's rocky and uneven in parts but otherwise a good trail. The sun was shining for us which made great views of the mountain range behind Laguna capri. Very sheltered too so ideal to stop and enjoy lunch before the walk back. You can see the glacier at the back of the lake and some chunks are floating which is great to see up close. Overall great day, definitely recommend this trail. See more..
  7. 4.5 Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego (8.817 reviews)
    - Beautiful park
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM National Parks
Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego image
This is a very cool park to hike in. The views are amazing and the trails are pretty well defined. It’s a bit of a distance from Ushuaia so you need to get a ride out there, bus or taxi is the easiest. The park charges 25 us to enter which is a bit pricey really but considering you are hiking in a park near the end of the world it’s worth it! They use the park fees to maintain the huge natural park lands around the city, so consider it a donation to preserve the pristine area. There was a park office with clean washrooms and you can buy water there, large parking area. The taxis and buses wait and drop off there. See more..
  8. 4.5 Canal Beagle (8.025 reviews)
    - Last Call South
    Bodies of Water
    Canal Beagle image
Ushuaia, notably the most southerly city on the planet, accessed via the Beagle Straight. The approach is undoubtedly a highlight so get there an hour or so before docking; preferably two hours, and bring your camera. Larger than its Chilean neighbour Ushuaia is surprisingly large with all of the amenities those getting off of a cruise ship could ask for including that all important pharmacy. Modern in places, the rest as I imagined, a modern take on a prospecting town - a little rough and rugged but more than good enough. Two hours is enough to walk around the city taking in the jaw-dropping scenery and browsing the independent stores. There are boat tours along the Channel that bring you up close to the to colonies of birds, seals and sea lions. Penguins may be seen also if your luck holds and you are observant. Don't confuse the black and white birds that fly with that elusive penguin photograph you promised everyone at home. Visiting the channel is a must. See more..

  11. 4.5 Cerro Tronador (4.397 reviews)
    - Huilliches Cerro Tronador Tour
Mountains • Hiking Trails • Volcanos
    Cerro Tronador image
As someone who is interested in monitoring the progress of climate change, glacial progression to me is one of the clearest indicators. Thus, seeing Ventisquero Negro on Cerro Tronador is a marvel for the eyes and the mind. Be ready for a bumpy and long ride, but our guide was great at providing context on the Parque Nahuel Huapi and the wonder of Cerro Tronador. There are many stopping points along the way as well, and these mountains will again provide value and an amazing experience in themselves. As a company, Huilliches again provided a solid guide. Bahia Lapataia image
When we visited the Tierra del Fuego National park, we did two fairly easy scenic hikes. The first was a short one along a lake and a slow moving river. There were a number of birds and lots of trees with moss growing on their trunks. Our 2nd hike was called Mirador Lapataia and the well marked trail led upwards to a viewing platform that overlooked the bay and the Beagle channel. See more..

  21. 4.5 Laguna Esmeralda (2.678 reviews)
    - A Brief Summary Of Our Laguna Esmerelda Hike
    Bodies of Water
    Laguna Esmeralda image
Another one of the great Ushuaia day hikes! This is a 9.5km return hike and takes 4-5 hours. Laguna Esmerleda is located outside the Tierra del Fuego National Park. But we can assure you that the hike is definitely worth a day of your itinerary. A very muddy affair, but a beautiful emerald (as the name suggests) lake is the reward. A shuttle bus from the main bus station can be bought the day for around $700ARS return ($11USD). It departs Ushuaia around 9am. The bus will take you to and from the start of the hike and returns to Ushuaia mid afternoon. Check the exact return time with the helpful staff at the bus station. There is no entrance fee for this hike. See more..

    - Really good for beginners!
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Piedras Blancas image
I couldn’t imagine a better place to learn skiing. The classes were designed for little groups and our instructor was really attentive. The place has 3 slopes, being the fist one practically not inclined (which is really good to learn the basics!) and the third was inclined and with curves so there you are able to learn by steps. On the other day we were already able to go to Cerro Catedral to use the basic slopes with some confidence. See more..
  26. 4.5 Punta Tombo (2.243 reviews)
    - Fantastic Experience, Worth the Drive

We decided last minute to make the trip from Buenos Aries when I saw images of these guys online. Although a bit of a hike to get down here, it was totally worth it! Spend a few hours just enjoying the beautiful weather and observing the penguins in their habitat. They aren’t afraid of people and will often walk right by you on the walking trails, so cute! 27. 4.5 Rio Correntoso (2.145 reviews)
    - THE SHORTEST RIVER IN THE WORLD BEETWEEN TWO LAKES
    Bodies of Water
    Rio Correntoso image
Rio Correntoso is located in Villa La Angostura (Argentina) and is the effluent of Lago Correntoso (27 km2) into the Nahuel Huapi Lake (557 km2) with only 200-300 meters longitude. It is not easy to find because is down the highway and very short. I recommend stopping especially if you are doing "The Seven Lakes" drive. Great spot for fly fishing fans with big trouts especially when the river flows into the Nahuel Huapi Lake. Though forbidden, young people jump from the bridge into the water which is extremely cold. I liked the clarity of the water, the noise of the river and the landscape (looking at two lakes from one spot) See more..

There are several restaurants located on the slopes, that offer meals that please all ages. Lessons are available for ski and snowboarders of all different levels. The fields are consistently groomed and maintained, allowing a smoother run. 30. 4.5 Puerto Blest y Cascada de los Cantaro (1.775 reviews)
    - Amazing - good exercise, amazing views!
Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas • Waterfalls
Puerto Blest y Cascada de los Cantaro image
This all-day adventure was amazing! The boat rides are an incredible way to see all the views and the hike up to the Cascada (waterfall) de los Cantaros is a good one. We did the hike along the lake from Puerto Blest to the waterfall (about a 45 min walk/hike with gorgeous views) and then up to the waterfall. The trip up to the waterfall is on wooden walkways with LOTS of steps. Not easy, but if you take you time totally do-able if you are in ok physical shape (i.e. you don't need to be an athlete). LOVED this! See more..
