Rio Correntoso, Patagonia, Argentina

THE SHORTEST RIVER IN THE WORLD BEETWEEN TWO LAKES
Rio Correntoso is located in Villa La Angostura (Argentina) and is the effluent of Lago Correntoso (27 km2) into the Nahuel Huapi Lake (557 km2) with only 200-300 meters longitude. It is not easy to find because is down the highway and very short. I recommend stopping especially if you are doing "The Seven Lakes" drive. Great spot for fly fishing fans with big trouts especially when the river flows into the Nahuel Huapi Lake. Though forbidden, young people jump from the bridge into the water which is extremely cold. I liked the clarity of the water, the noise of the river and the landscape (looking at two lakes from one spot)

Easy and cheap tour
Just a 40 minute walk from the city center. No ticket required. Beautiful landscape by the lake and surrounded by mountains with snow cap.

Nice view
Its the smallest river in the world, whats amazing is that you can see the trouts from the bridge, they are really big and the water is cristal clear.
