Temaiken is a foundation that studies, promotes and makes information available on the protection of Nature. It is based on three mainstays: RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND PRESERVATION. Temaiken also co-manages 2 Provincial Parks: Cruce Caballero and Araucarias, both part of the Pino Parana Forest ecosystem, also in the Province of Misiones. • Educational Programs for the purpose of "Educating to Preserve" Temaiken provides institutions with its educational programs adapted to school curricula and applicable to all levels of education: Initial, PEB, ESB, High School, Primary School, Secondary School and Special Education. This work is supplemented by Teachers Training Courses and activities with the communities located within the ecosystems under protection or to be protected. • Research and Preservation Programs. These programs comprise the specific Preservation Projects aimed at achieving Temaiken's purpose: The Preservation of native species, particularly endangered species. • A Center for Reproduction of Species (CRET)where animal Rehabilitation and Reproduction programs are carried out, supporting both Preservation Programs and the authorities governing the illegal trafficking of animals. - 4.5 Iglesia de Los Capuchinos (2.835 reviews)
-One of the more Beautiful Churches
Churches & Cathedrals
As I understand it the Church was inaugurated in the 1930 and underwent some restoration in more recent years. The term Capuchinos I gather refers to a Type of dress but also refers back to a specific groups of the Franciscans monks, name,up the Capuchins. Albeit the Cathedral/Church is one awesome beautiful edifice both inside and out. A definite item to consider on you tour list. I was a little too early in the morning to get the right light conditions for an outside pic. See more..

We loved the guided walk, the views of the mountains, the explanation about local geology, flora and fauna by the guide, took lots of photos and enjoyed every minute. Well done to the whole team from LOS TERRONES !!! See more..

Magnificent city icon and the thought it was designed to contain water for the inhabitants nearby seems like an architectural extravagance. At first sighting, we thought it was a fortress overlooking the Atlantic ocean and overseeing maritime activity. Nope, just a colossal water tank. See more..

- 4.5 Museo Palacio Ferreyra (1.023 reviews)
-Nice building and pleasant visit
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Speciality Museums
This was the best combination of building enclosure and art collection among the museums I've visited in Cordoba. On Wednesdays all museums in Cordoba are free, so I took the opportunity to go to both (Museu Provincial de Bellas Artes) Emilio Caraffa and (Museu de Bellas Artes Evita) Palacio Ferreyra museums. They sit side by side next to Plaza España. Palacio Ferreyra is a nice French styled constrution, well maintained and with a modern intervention next to the entrance. It holds a nice fine arts collection, mostly produced by important artists in the provincial and Argentina. It also has a nice cafe, which serves delicious breakfast or for a pleasant coffee break anytime within the museum's opening hours. See more..

- 4.5 Villa Ocampo (659 reviews)
-Magnificent building and grounds
Sunday: 12:30 PM - 7:00 PM Historic Sites
Villa Ocampo is a beautiful house (in an equally beautiful setting) that gives you great access to the rooms and period furnishings. A short guided tour is included in the 70 peso entry fee (Oct 2017). The guy at the entrance strongly recommended the tour, but we felt it added virtually nothing to what you could find out either from the website or simply by wandering around. It's easy enough to get there from the Bs As city or northern suburbs, and just 5 or 6 blocks from Beccar station. Beccar is on the Retiro to Tigre railway line, and the trip is cheap and safe. The Villa is generally open for visits from Friday to Sunday, but check the website or Facebook before heading there, as it often hosts conferences and is closed to the public on those days. See more..
