Huilliches Cerro Tronador Tour

As someone who is interested in monitoring the progress of climate change, glacial progression to me is one of the clearest indicators. Thus, seeing Ventisquero Negro on Cerro Tronador is a marvel for the eyes and the mind. Be ready for a bumpy and long ride, but our guide was great at providing context on the Parque Nahuel Huapi and the wonder of Cerro Tronador. There are many stopping points along the way as well, and these mountains will again provide value and an amazing experience in themselves. As a company, Huilliches again provided a solid guide.

Absolutely stunning scenery- a Must See Area!!
We took a bus from Bariloche up to pampa Linda and then hiked up to waterfalls over 300' high cascading off a Mt Tronador glacier called Castano Overa. It was spectacular the whole way going through a lovely old growth forest. The hike is relatively easy 9 miles round trip with maybe only 1000' of elevation gain. The lake and forest scenery during the bus ride was also very beautiful. We wished that we had planned to camp and spend more time in this area - there are several beautiful campgrounds along the lake shoreline.

    some were in world
I went here In August during there winter, and it was great, there was some snow in back in the town. But not much, here there was tons to play with. Also, the glacier was pretty, the lake was frozen and you can see the you are in the middle of the andes, and you can feel you are in a glacier. It was quite cold though at around -6:)
