Scenic
This lake is beautiful and the water is clear. The entrance is a 20 min bus ride through Alpine vegetation to the staging lookout. You can walk around the lake in about 4 hours. May be crowded with internal tourists.

Wouldn't go again
It's a gruelling 45 bus ride from the ticket office to the lake itself (windy, steep and downright scary), and judging by the number of buses and the size of the car park, you realize that you will be sharing the experience with several tens of thousands of other tourists (grimace). We arrived late afternoon, and were picked up at the final bus stop to spend the night in a yurt on a steep hill on the far side of the lake, which I wouldn't recommend to my worse enemy! Built one on top of the other, reeking of lamb (yup, that is all there is to eat), freezing cold at night despite the burner and without a bathroom in sight. Finding a quiet spot to see to nature is impossible as there are so many yurts. Next morning, we took a scenic boat ride on the lake itself, but nothing outstanding. Very pretty, but hard to enjoy due to the sheer volume of visitors. The bathrooms close to the bus drop-off area were surprisingly clean though.
