Transportation Hub with Plenty to do

JR Sendai station is a convenient transportation hub in the area. Despite its size, the station is clearly marked and easy to navigate. There are plenty of shopping and eating options in the station (check out Gyutan Dori on the third floor).

    Efficiency Perfected
    Easily manageable, clean, and welcoming, best describes this JR station. The tourist information center distributes helpful tips. Wandering around are staff in yellow jackets that quickly eyed us as non-Japanese and spoke English to us and directed us to our hotel and a list of nearby restaurants. Although it is smaller than Sapporo or Tokyo stations it has several stores to buy snacks, souvenirs and coffee.

    A station packed with shopping and dinning chanes
    Easy to find your way around the station. If it's not your destination plan a 3-hour stop and enjoy some good sushi and the neighbourhood. The zunda mochi was too sweet and the sunda milkshake went down the drain.
