We spent 4 days here with two small kids and were able to keep them perfectly well entertained for the whole time. It is not without its faults and some aspects of it were perhaps a little underwhelming but it is certainly well worth a visit, particularly during the winter when the weather outside is only attractive to ducks. I can imagine that during the summer this might well be oppressively busy.See more..
It was such a great experience! We went in June and the deer were so calm and sweet. I recommend taking carrots if you want the deer to come up to you more. If you don’t have any food they usually stay in their own space. Great for the whole family! The park is beautiful as well especially when the sun is out. Not super crowded either!See more..

Kildeparken is one of the oldest parks in Aalborg, as it was landscaped in 1802. The beautiful park is known for its long list of classical pieces by famous artists, who have created both statues, scultpures and fountains. The most famous piece in the park is the Park of Music, which is a collection of trees that have been planted since 1987 by artists who have performed in Aalborg Culture and Congress Center. Most of these trees can be activated to plays three different tunes of the artists, who includes, among others sir Cliff Richard, Sting, Kenny Rogers, Take That, Rod Stewart and sir Elton John. The charming park is hosting a string of events each year. The largest annual event in Kildeparken is by far the carnival of Aalborg in May, which attracts most than 20.000 guests to a huge party in Kildeparken. Amazing park!! I have 16,13 and 5 year old children and they all loved it! You can spend a whole day here and still want to stay longer. Quite physical so prepare to be very tired at the end. Only negative is that I asked in the cafe for my water bottle to be filled up to be told I would have to buy water in a plastic bottle and there was no where on site to fill water. This was during a heatwave. NOT GOOD. The reception did fill it up once but I ended up using the toilet taps for repeating filling. Saw lots of taps around but none of them worked. This seems to be a common problem everywhere we went in Denmark (Legoland, LegoHouse). Sort it out Denmark- less plastic waste!! Encourage refilling water bottles.See more..

Thy National Park is the biggest national park in Denmark. It is along the coast from Agger Tange ( the south border) to Hanstholm ( north border ). The landscape comprise windy coasts, dune with beach grass, open land with heaths, meadows or plantations, with a great number of conifers and between this varied coastal landscape, small ponds, lakes or swamp. Trees and grasses are not the only vegetation in the dunes though. The sandy dune heaths and the meadow are the breeding place for different kind of birds. Stretching south from Fano off the coast of Denmark down through Germany, the Wadden Sea is a stunning shallow coastal sea with lots of sand banks and mud flats giving breeding grounds to many bird species. Great views on the boat ride over from Esbjerg to Fano, and travelling along the Danish coastline. Great spots for picnics and watching the sunsets. Swimming is possible - though its very cold!!! Excellent place to spend a quiet few days in Denmark.See more..
This monument is located in Memorial Park in Aarhus near Marselisborg castle, which is the royal family's summer residence. Memorial Park was originally planned as a gathering place for Danish-Americans during the 4th of July, but success in Rebild hills south of Aalborg, was so successful that the park never got success with this activity. In 1934, the memorial to 4,140 Slesvigers in German service during the first World War inaugurated and it is a magnificent cultural and artistic monument to the fallen Danes. It was the best place I've ever been to. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I could fly from Mexico just to come here. The installations are amazing, they have the best games and the newest technology, I recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Denmark or Europe. It is a must.
