Marselisborg Deer Park, Jutland, Denmark

4.5 (427 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Jutland Parks

Calm and cute deer

It was such a great experience! We went in June and the deer were so calm and sweet. I recommend taking carrots if you want the deer to come up to you more. If you don’t have any food they usually stay in their own space. Great for the whole family! The park is beautiful as well especially when the sun is out. Not super crowded either!

    Beautiful place
Great walk to get here from the bus stop. Deer are beautiful and friendly, stags are too but remember to respect their space as they are rutting in this time of year. Both stags and deer come for food. I just sat and let them approach me, it was the best decision ever! They all came in their own time which was great. I brought 2kg of carrots and it was a delight to feed them. Weather was quite unstable between sunny spells and showers of very cold rain which only added to the magic. Absolutely worth a visit.

Best attraction in Aarhus but very hard to reach without car.. hope Danish authorities take note
Must visit if you are in Aarhus. If you are a tourist and not renting a car, it will take a great effort to reach the park. There are no buses or tourist facilities, which is a bit odd as this could be developed into one of the best tourist attractions of Aarhus. We walked for quite long and took Bus 100 to reach here. In the end it was worth it but I hope Danish authorities makes it accessible for tourists. If you have kids or people who cannot walk for long, it is not recommended to go unless you are renting a car.
