    Legoland is Awesome!!!
My family and I recently visited Legoland Billund. I had a giggle at some of the reviews prior to writing my own, so wanted to address some of them. Firstly - if you visit one of the biggest theme parks in Europe, be prepared for a lot of people and queues! Of course it is busy! There are no theme parks in the world that are quiet during summer holidays. Be aware and plan approprirately, using the fast track system for the most popular rides for example or stay later in the day when the park isn't so busy. The food queues are also long, so again, as we did, buy food and bring it into the park and using one of the picnic areas around the park to eat your lunch. The queues for the Lego shop was also very busy. I found it odd going to Legoland to buy Lego, when realistically it's probably cheaper online. We found a souvenir shop near the entrance which was empty and picked up all the souvenirs we needed there without having to queue. We arrived approximately one hour after opening and queued for about 20 minutes to get in. It was not stressful and everyone understood the need to queue. We seen a lot of staff around the park and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The park was very clean and there is a fantastic, feel-good vibe around the place. The Legoland Movie area is absolutely superb and well designed and thought through. The highlight of the park is the areas to sit and build Lego. Anyone who grew up with Lego, myself included, will be taken back to their childhood again to just sit and chill and build Lego, either alone or with their children. I would definately recommend Leogland to anyone, especially those with small kids. The park is fun, full of energy, clean and there is so much to see and do. If you go in July and August, be prepared for it to be busy.

    Great fun, great place
What a great experience and great park. Ample selection of attractions and things to see. Needs at least two days if you have little queues like we had because we visited during June weekdays. Everything was quite well maintained and despite some odd choices (like some really strange and straight terrible videos in the queues of the attractions), we had a blast with everything. Some of the attractions are way too short. Others are just fantastic like the Pirate boats that look very low key outside and turned out to bee the best of the visit. There are many places to buy food and they were decent in quality and ok price if you remember you are in Denmark. You can also buy for 129kr a special bottle that you can refill all day in different machines with many combinations of soda, cola, etc. It works great and when you are a whole day it makes sense because drinks are really expensive. One negative thing is that they stopped filling the machines so at the end of the day the choice was really reduced. Very cheap strategy. Another really bad thing is that they had hand disinfectant everywhere... but most of them were EMPTY since the opening of the park. I mean, if you are going to show that you care you can really care as well and fill the machines! In any case, it was a great experience and recommended. Attention! There are some special tickets that allow you to cut the queue. They cost a lot of money and I would recommend to only buy that if you see that queues are too long. We used the Legoland app that tells you at all times which attractions have very short queues and guides you to them. That way we could really maximise our stay. Highly recommended despite the corner-cutting.
