Marselisborg Mindepark, Jutland, Denmark
4.5 (92 reviews) Spent Ranking #15 in East Jutland Parks
An overlooked attraction
This monument is located in Memorial Park in Aarhus near Marselisborg castle, which is the royal family's summer residence. Memorial Park was originally planned as a gathering place for Danish-Americans during the 4th of July, but success in Rebild hills south of Aalborg, was so successful that the park never got success with this activity. In 1934, the memorial to 4,140 Slesvigers in German service during the first World War inaugurated and it is a magnificent cultural and artistic monument to the fallen Danes. Near the memorial is arboretum garden near the Marselisborg castle.

Superb!
A superb city. At Comwell Hotel it was so good that, instead of 9 nights, we chose to stay another night, so we had a stay of 10 nights and 11 days! Her Majesty's Palace Queen Margaret II of Denmark and the palace gardens are extraordinary and well worth it! Also the deer park!

Excellent for an early morning run with enough stops to recover.
We run with a group, accompanied by guide, through this park. Very beautiful this time of the year - more flowers to be expected later - with always the vicinity of the sea.
