3.0Plopsa Indoor Coevorden(207 reviews) - Nice for young children, but somewhat old Temporarily closed - Closed until further notice Spent More than 3 hours Amusement & Theme Parks
We visited Plopsa with our 3 year old daughter. There are different size restrictions for the various fair's so she could not enter all yet. The restrictions are like <85,>85...100 and >100cm. For some games you still have to pay extra and you can only pay with cash/coins. There is free wifi (password: plopsaland), but it is very slow and not always a strong signal. The fairground itself is getting old and could use a fresh-up. The food is fast food mostly and during lunch time it can get very busy and you need to stand in a very slow line... Our daughter loved it never the less.See more..
4.0Veenpark(139 reviews) - A great Open Air Museum Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Amusement & Theme Parks
This museum gives a great view in the life of people in the peat colony. The houses give a good impression in life over the last 150 years. What makes the museum very vivid is that it is not just objects in showcases. Step into a bakery and buy cookies, bead, pastry. Step into a grocery and buy sweets, See a blacksmith at work. If you are tired of walking take the boat, or the small steamtrain. I have visited the veenpark 3 times now: the first time 40 years ago, then the second time about 28 years ago, and finally last week! As this is a great museum with lots of things to see, I expect I will be back in future years....See more..
The area is well sustained and there are a lot of marked pathhes. You cab walk for 5-6 hours. As the area is protected for water winning you can find explanation panels on the way.See more..
3.5Sprookjeshof(81 reviews) - Nice Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Amusement & Theme Parks
The outdoor playground is very retro, but it adds to its charm, most of the attractions are man-power driven. There's a petting zoo. Indoor playground is much more popular and fun, but could be cleaner. Overall experience with a toddler - satisfied:)See more..
4.5National Park Drentsche Aa(77 reviews) - Large rural area with great cycling and hiking National Parks • Parks
The National Park Drentsche Aa was created because it largely escaped from areal redistribution efforts and hence is still a very historical landscape. It has several small rivers, nature areas, small scale farming and even prehistorical funeral monuments built of large boulders. Great area for cycling or hiking!See more..
4.0Rensenpark(33 reviews) - See Rembrandt and Van Gogh at work! Spent 2-3 hours Parks
An absolute MUST to do when visiting this park is to go and see the old Giraffe cage, now an exposition Where 40+ painters have done an impressive job to recreate the ‘Nachtwacht’ painting of Rembrandt which is on display here. They are now working on their next project to recreate paintings of Van Gogh, who lived in this area for a short part of his life.See more..

3.5Gouverneurstuin(14 reviews) - Garden indeed Tuesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Parks
Pleasant place in the center of Assen. Don't expect a park as the Gouverneurstuin is rather small. It once was for private use of the Governer of Drenthe province, Petrus Hofstede 1814 tot 1831. Nowadays the head of civil authority in the province is called "Commissaris van de Koning" and happily the garden of for public use.See more..

See more..

See more..
