Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
Our second visit to the Drentsche and once again we stayed at “The Golf Lodge” on site. We played 2 rounds in successive days before leaving and stopping at the Gelpenberg GC on the way back home. The courses at the Drentsche were all long but the dry weather reduced their length somewhat – if you kept out of bunkers and rough. Greens were very good and a fair test. Really nice practice facilities which you can make maximum use of if you stay on site. The accommodation catering and clubhouse were excellent. The service was extremely helpful and friendly. Our second visit to this great course. The design is quite challenging, especially if you are not straight with lots of trees and heather – beautiful sight but not pleasant if your ball lands in it. The layout is different from most courses with 4 rings of 4 / 5 holes each of which start and end at the clubhouse – so extended walks from green to tee. The clubhouse has just been refurbished in late 2018 and is really very attractive and completes the overall pleasant experience. Next time we decided to stay at a neighboring hotel and play here 2 days to really appreciate it. Good practice facilities as well. Definitely visit it if you have the chance. See more..
