Cavtat Seaside Promenade, Dalmatia, Croatia

4.5 (1.044 reviews) Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #1 in Dalmatia Piers & Boardwalks

Day visit by boat from Mlini

Very smart and trendy coastal town. Great for a half day visit but if you want to just sit and people watch there are plenty of places to do so and you could spend a relaxing full day there. I would recommend the peninsula walk which takes about 45 minutes at a slow stroll. I ate at Restaurant Ivan choosing from their light lunch thank you and it was very good (grilled squid and chips). Nice table overlooking the harbour. Staff very pleasant, very welcoming. Almost certainly wouldn't go back there but well worth the one-off trip.

A real gem for a quite lazy day
If you are in Dubrovnik you must find time to visit Cavtat. If you make your way to the city Bus station the No 10 bus at 28 kuna single will take you there along the most scenic route you will ever find in the Adriatic. A peaceful place of the leisurely walk along the peninsula of wooded inlets or just a quiet place to sit and take in the stunning coastal scenery.

Later in the evening gets fun.
During the day life here is sedate, a few people trying to entice you into restaurants or to take boat excursions to Dubrovnik. It's later in the evening that things take off. We were here at the same time as the Champions League Final - now that was some night (despite the result)!
