The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Russian: Музеи изобразительных искусств им. А.С. Пушкина) is the largest museum of European art in Moscow, located in Volkhonka street, just opposite the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. The International musical festival Svyatoslav Richter's December nights has been held in the Pushkin museum since 1981. The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts holds one of Russia's largest collections of foreign art from ancient times to the present day. First floor had about 30 - 40 good paintings by local artists for sale, of very good quality. Worth a detour, along with Levitan Museum, close by.See more..
Start your visit of the gallery from the top floor. The most interesting staff is there. Otherwise by the way you get to the third floor, you will be tired and won't enjoy the works of art there. We spent half a day in the museum, there is so much to see.See more..
