4.0Porta di Pietra (Kamenita Vrata)(711 reviews) - As Unique as Anything I've seen Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
This was such a cool random thing that we happen to stumble upon while walking uptown to see St Mark's church. It's a little sanctuary where people pray and ask for favors, while peacefully sitting on the small benches. The uniqueness comes from that it is located under a building, and like a small tunnel. Really neat place!See more..

3.5Church of Saint Nicholas(7 reviews) - The Parish Church of St. Nicholas Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
Built on the foundations of the previous Romanesque-Gothic church, this Baroque Parish Church was built in 1761 and dedicated to St. Nicholas; the patron Saint of the City of Varaždin. The unique Gothic tower is unusual for inland Croatia as it has the Varaždin coat-arms dating from 1464. Above this is a stone seal; an interesting detail and relic of the former church. Surrounding the tower was a parapet where watchmen would guard against fire in the city. Line of trees surrounding the church marks the former local burial ground in which was in use up to the late XVIII Century. In the niche of the tower is a statue of St. Florian; an image often present throughout Varaždin.See more..

5.0Luznica Manor(3 reviews) - So Much More Than One Can Imagine Friday: Spent 1-2 hours Architectural Buildings • Religious Sites
Kuznica Manor in the Baroque tradition is about 20 km west of Zagreb. It is operated by the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. The building dates back to 1761. It ultimately became the property of the sisters who house some of their sisters, have programs for individuals with drug addiction, operate a large agricultural business and have built an educational center for classes, meetings, and conferences. The furniture in the manor is outstandingly beautiful and the building has been preserved such that classes can be held in the old wine cellar with its brick ceiling. The grounds are beautiful and good for walking on a sunny day. This place is a joy for those interested in how good can come from evil, for the beauty of the furnishings and surroundings, and for the lovely gardens.See more..
