Beautiful church
I believe if you are religious you will love this place. The church is located in the hill with beautiful views to the country side. Inside is very peaceful and calm. I love the way that they have some holy water labeled to take away home. Candles cost 4 kunas The nativity was so beautiful. The architecture is so lovely I did not play attention if you have access for disabled people since the church has lots of stairs to claim

Beautiful church
This is the most famous and most visited shrine of the Mother of God in Croatia. Beautiful interior, as well as the exterior of the church, especially that of the entrance to the church. Be sure to visit if you find yourself in this sanctuary.

Peaceful atmosphere inside and overcrowded outside
The Shrine of Our Lady of Bistrica is one of the most popular and most visited Marian shrines in Croatia. The Basilica of Our Lady of Bistrica is located on an elevated position in the center of Marija Bistrica and is a protected cultural site. In addition to the single-nave church surrounded by a cemetery in which the parish court is incorporated, there is also a newer chapel of St. Peter's Chapel Catherine and St. Joseph in the area in front of the church and Calvary on the neighboring hill. The parish is mentioned as early as 1334, and today's appearance of the complex, which combines forms of Gothic, Baroque, Florentine and German Renaissance in the spirit of historicism, is the result of an expanded older church and renovation led by Hermann Bollé since 1879. Unfortunately, the whole place is overcrowded with stalls and grill joints which is completely opposite to the calm and peaceful atmosphere inside the church…
