The statue of John Paul II locates on the way from the street to the big outside cerebration area an the big Virgin Mary statue. It's near the bathroom faculty to the right side from the statue. It's just the normal statue that represent the Pope visit in the past. Here is the quorts to know about the Pope visit and about Cardinal Stepinac from wikipedia: "In 1952 he was appointed cardinal by Pope Pius XII. Stepinac died while still under confinement in his parish, amid rumors of poisoning by his Communist captors. "Miljokaz" is the symbol of the economic development and is located at the beginning of the road called Jozefina. Its construction started back toward Senj at the time of Joseph II when Karlovac became a " free royal city " ( 1781 ) . Miljokaz displays distance from major cities in Germanic miles (one mile = 7420.4 meters ). It is set to "zero meter " road which starts in Karlovac and ends at the gate of Senj. There is no information on the exact date of the installation of the monument. Theatre "Zorin Dom" is close by and if you visit Karlovac during fall months, try roasted chestnuts located next to the Miljokaz.See more..

At the hill of Čukur there is a memorial to Gordan Leder. He was a cameraman of HRT, who died on this place on the 10th of August 1991. He was recording Croatian defenders in the fight against the Serbian attacks and he was shot. The monument to the Croatian national anthem (“Lijepa naša domovina” or “Our Beautiful Homeland”) is located on the road from Klanjec to Kumrovec, at the natural landscape called Zelenjak. It was built in 1935, commemorating its hundred years anniversary. The original lyrics were written by Antun Mihanović, Croatian poet, who was born in near-by little town of Klanjec. On the slope of the hill, next to the Oršić Castle in Gornja Stubica which overlooks the Stubica valley, stands a 6.5 meters high figure of Matija Gubec, and behind it rise two symmetrical wings - each 20 meters long and 7.50 meters high, filled with bronze reliefs showing more than three hundred characters. On one side are the scenes of the Battle of Stubica, people, horses, the clash of the noble army and the rebellious peasants, and on the other the panorama of life at that time. At the bottom of the right wing is the life-size figure of Petrica Kerempuh, with a tambourine in his hands.
