Symbol of the city of Zagreb. Whenever I come to Zagreb, I go to visit it. I light a candle and pray. SeIt is located on Kaptol and it is the first most important Gothic building in Croatia. The largest sacral building and one of the most valuable monuments of Croatian heritage. The full name is the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed. The Virgin Mary and Saints Stephen and Ladislav. Just beautiful.See more..

3.5Church of Saint Anastazia(15 reviews) - Beautiful Experience Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
We were visiting Samobor and saw the steeple of the church. We walked to check it out. The interior is quite nice. The bonus was that there was a live performance by classical guitarists being broadcast over Croatian TV that night and we got tickets for it. A wonderful concert and experience.See more..
With its Baroque belfry, the Holy Trinity Church stands in the centre of the Star, the Karlovac old town, as a landmark, a beacon, both in the actual space and on one’s spiritual journey. It was built at the same time as the fort itself, with various parts added through the centuries, and is the very heart of the town’s spiritual life. It is also a part of the town’s religious heritage, and an unavoidable point for meeting history, people and one’s own self.See more..

3.5Church of Saint Nicholas(7 reviews) - The Parish Church of St. Nicholas Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
Built on the foundations of the previous Romanesque-Gothic church, this Baroque Parish Church was built in 1761 and dedicated to St. Nicholas; the patron Saint of the City of Varaždin. The unique Gothic tower is unusual for inland Croatia as it has the Varaždin coat-arms dating from 1464. Above this is a stone seal; an interesting detail and relic of the former church. Surrounding the tower was a parapet where watchmen would guard against fire in the city. Line of trees surrounding the church marks the former local burial ground in which was in use up to the late XVIII Century. In the niche of the tower is a statue of St. Florian; an image often present throughout Varaždin.See more..
4.0Pavlinski samostan(4 reviews) - Small prison town with a good place to eat lunch Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Churches & Cathedrals
After our trip from Trakošćan Castle we visited the small town of Lepoglava. Its a very quite place with not much to do or visit if you are not religious. Few nice churches and chapels. We were hungry and searching for a good place to have lunch so we found one. It was a restaurant called Ivančica. Its a very good restaurant with homemade food and fair prices. It has a large menu so anyone can find something for his taste. In Lepoglava I recomend the restaurant Ivančica or the Lace museum.See more..

The church is the most luxurious example of late Baroque sacral art heritage in Moslavina. The oldest record of the church building dates from 1729. Visitors will be welcomed by one of the most beautiful baroque sacral interiors, the walls and ceilings adorned by rich stucco and frescoes and a dominating magnificent wooden altar. This baroque church is visited during major concerts of classical music. There, art and music forms are harmoniously and very acoustically blended.See more..
