Symbol of the city of Zagreb
Symbol of the city of Zagreb. Whenever I come to Zagreb, I go to visit it. I light a candle and pray. SeIt is located on Kaptol and it is the first most important Gothic building in Croatia. The largest sacral building and one of the most valuable monuments of Croatian heritage. The full name is the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed. The Virgin Mary and Saints Stephen and Ladislav. Just beautiful.

Beautiful Spires
Great cathedral with beautiful spires. It’s currently being renovated so you can’t get too close. In fact it seems like most of the church building with any history are currently being remodeled. I loved the exterior. It’s close to the downtown area and close to most of the things you’d want to see I. Zagreb.

Beautiful Exterior
The cathedral has a beautiful exterior. It was damaged in the earthquake and a lot of repairs are being made. You can actually see many of the architectural details from the roof sitting on the ground waiting to be repaired which makes for an interesting close-up of some intricately carved stone. It is sad to see it needing so many repairs due to damage but the braces and scaffolding along with the church make for an interesting photo.
