Nestled in high hills and vineyards, this idyllic setting houses a most wonderful sculpture museum. Antun Augustincic is a world renouned sculpture with pieces commissioned by many capitols as well as the UN. The museum contains his studies and models for many pieces. In three small galleries and a well tended garden, the visitor is in awe of the skill and pathos of the artist. Our visit was absolutely wonderful and I would encourage everyone to search it out. There are other attractions in this small village. Across the street is the Franciscan monastery. If the "high baroque" church is open, it is worth a visit. Then sit in the town's square and enjoy the pure air and sunshine while sipping a drink from the pub or grocery store. A short walk bring the visitor around the village bounds.See more..
