    Hook & Ladder Distillery image
We stopped after seeing the name on a billboard. As a FF myself, I was intrigued. There are some great FF displays. The gentleman working was very knowledgeable about the distilling process and answered all my questions. I tried 2 flavors of shine and 1 Vodka for free. There were 6 or 7 different flavors of shine. I recommend the Honey flavor. It was a bit smoother than some of the others. See more..

Bays Mountain Park & Planetarium image
Visited on a beautiful sunny day in early Spring. Just me and my doggie. It's a $5 entrance, follow the path to parking and from there you have several trails to take. I took the Lakeside Trail all the way through, it really is 1 hr and 30 minutes trail walk. And I especially took my time stopping and admiring the peaceful views. Once I got back to the parking lot I took a few steps down to see the dam waterfall. Although it's called a "park" it truly is more than that, it's the spot for hiking and biking, a true gem of this city. Moved here 4 months ago, been here twice and will definitely be a frequent spot for me. Can't wait to see it in all 4 seasons but this place has a very tranquil feel. There's also a section to view animals but dogs are not allowed, so I didn't go through it this time. See more..

    - Nice walking biking path
Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
    The Kingsport Greenbelt image
Really nice path that extends practically all the way through Kingsport. You have to get off at one point to go all the way but it's a great ride or walk if you just cover what extends without getting off the path. There are shady areas , deer, ducks, a creek that runs along side....paths that go up to areas to eat , or shop. So you can take a break if you want.....check out a bike shop...get coffee at Starbucks ...another point where you come up to Petsmart, Tj Max , Ross, Ashley Furniture...Chilis , Olive Garden to name a few places in that Center. We love riding our bikes there See more..

  25. 3.5 Riverfront Park (26 reviews)
    - Pleasant walk along the River, with some history mixed in
    Parks
    Riverfront Park image
We walked through the park today on the Greenbelt from the boat ramp to the swinging bridge, about 2.5 miles round trip. It was a beautiful walk along the river, very quiet, with a few families fishing and picnicking. No creepy people, and I even went in the bathroom, which was decent. There were a few geese, and some droppings, but it was not a nuisance. Signs ask that ducks and geese not be fed in certain areas, and also explain that the riverbank is left uncleared to discourage the birds. I was really surprised when I read all the poor reviews on here, AFTER we went! I noticed that most of those are old, so I wanted to update on the conditions we found today. We will go back to do more segments! See more..

I am a wine lover and big supporter of local business and I am so excited I can combine both in one place. Reedy Creek Winery's staff was so accommodating and made me feel so comfortable even though my wine knowledge is limited. We tried 7 of their wines this visit and will absolutely back to try more. The La Diabla was amazing! This is such a cool thing to do with friends. I highly recommend visiting if you are looking for something new to do in town. See more..
  29. 2.5 Fort Henry Mall (37 reviews)
    - Growing
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Fort Henry Mall image
Even though the Mall has few stores it is making a comeback with many stores coming. Yes Pinnacle hurt it but when it is finished the locals here will find much to do and see. Just have to give it some time and patients. A new theatre is in and that’s better than the last. We need to support this Mall to help it become what it can be. There are plenty in Kingsport alone to help keep it going. I enjoy what’s there now and what will be coming. See more..
