Visited on a beautiful sunny day in early Spring. Just me and my doggie. It's a $5 entrance, follow the path to parking and from there you have several trails to take. I took the Lakeside Trail all the way through, it really is 1 hr and 30 minutes trail walk. And I especially took my time stopping and admiring the peaceful views. Once I got back to the parking lot I took a few steps down to see the dam waterfall. Although it's called a "park" it truly is more than that, it's the spot for hiking and biking, a true gem of this city. Moved here 4 months ago, been here twice and will definitely be a frequent spot for me. Can't wait to see it in all 4 seasons but this place has a very tranquil feel. There's also a section to view animals but dogs are not allowed, so I didn't go through it this time. See more..

This state park is extremely unique and one of the most inclusive parks in Tennessee. There is a sensory braille trail that tells the story of Narnia, as well as a Boundless playground. This park is also home to one of the most renowned mountain biking trails in Tennessee. A treehouse and amphitheater are some other main attractions. More information on this park and many more can be found at the TN State Parks website. See more..

  4. 4.0 Putt-Putt Fun Center (39 reviews)
    - Fun course
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM Amusement & Theme Parks
    Putt-Putt Fun Center image
Considering that it's the only putt-putt we have in the area, it'll have to do. Course is fun to play but is overdue for some upkeep. The railings are rusty and the green turf is pulled up on every hole. Could use some maintenance. See more..
  5. 3.5 Riverfront Park (26 reviews)
    - Pleasant walk along the River, with some history mixed in
    Parks
    Riverfront Park image
We walked through the park today on the Greenbelt from the boat ramp to the swinging bridge, about 2.5 miles round trip. It was a beautiful walk along the river, very quiet, with a few families fishing and picnicking. No creepy people, and I even went in the bathroom, which was decent. There were a few geese, and some droppings, but it was not a nuisance. Signs ask that ducks and geese not be fed in certain areas, and also explain that the riverbank is left uncleared to discourage the birds. I was really surprised when I read all the poor reviews on here, AFTER we went! I noticed that most of those are old, so I wanted to update on the conditions we found today. We will go back to do more segments! See more..
